Phillips has been to Walsall and Exeter, did nothing and got dropped at both, now at the team bottom of L1 on 8 points. Harratt can’t get in the Bradford squad in L2. That’s it, let’s be nice a positive about our young strikers. In terms of Phillips, last seasons loans were all about seeing if he could play back to back games in a full season of professional football. This was an important test for him, mainly due to the horror injury he had as a kid which kept him out for 2 and a half years. He did it without issues. He also played a lot of matches out wide rather than down the middle. This season is about playing back to back matches, playing as the main striker. With Morcambe bottom they’re probably not creating lots of chances for him, but he’s still scoring. So last seasons loan was a success and so far this seasons loan is a success Kian Harratt is still only 20. City’s 3 main strikers are late 20’s and early 30’s. He was never gonna walk into the team or even match day squad. And I think they only play 1 up top. Not trying to be too negative, but if our hopes rest on the likes of them it shows how desperate we are. Ward and Rhodes are proven at this level, Simpson smashed it on loan at Swindon. Those two are a long way off the level required at the moment.

Wasn’t it the case that the lad in the Bradford shirt had done the Sinnott walk and been invited along? If so, fair enough and shame on those reacting to it.

Wonder if they’ll go back in for Wagner or possibly CC? Wasn't he in the frame last time, and their fans went ballistic because he wasn't a big enough name? So funny they got Bruce. I dont get the hate for Bruce. Town played terrific football under him for a while. I know he couldn't wait to move on and all that, but I dont think he is a bad person and doesnt deserve personal abuse for doing his job. Agreed. If he hadn’t been forced to sell Stewart, who knows what we could have achieved that season.

hardly a sleeping giant!! Must be the experts think so.. Their plan to bounce in between the premier and the championship was always in danger of being shite.. It involves the absolute requirement to get promotion from a league where there is less and less a guarantee you can buy it.. Unless you’re Forest of course.

The players will be looking forward to Roy Keane shouting at them???😉 I noticed he was at their game. The players will be wishing they’d put a bit more effort in if that happens.

If Thomas hadn’t slowed down and bottled it he’d have got there first and not be injured.

Crazy at Wigan. One of the goals is a couple of inches higher than at the other end, so game now stopped. Due to the fact the rugby posts had been swapped, but you’d like to think someone’s checked. Bizarre.

Phillips scored. That Zian Fleming we tried to sign seems decent. Played a blinder and scored a cracker in the week and two more this afternoon.

I think it’s ok. Stars on badges are shit generally, especially when self-decided. I’m sure it’s an Italian thing granted for 10 Serie A titles, then it was decided countries who had won a World Cup could add them and then European cups. Now everyone just whacks them on for winning the Freight Rover Trophy or whatever. They’re unnecessary and “tinpot” including our own. Everyone has decided to add them to the point that they’re essentially meaningless. I heard a young lad say to his dad that he didn’t know we’d won the Champion League, which shows how relevant it is (cue someone saying it gives him the chance to explain our proud history).

Camara is excellent isn’t he? Kasumu played pretty well too and think he was left with little choice with the second foul. Thomas was better tonight too. Turton decent when he came on. Jackson did well enough. Holmes tried to get forward and create things. Those are the positives. Good point, but still a lot of work to do.

I’d be recalling Crichlow tomorrow and possibly Scott high too. They should all be coming back asap. Let the manager have a good look at them, no point being good at another club when we look like getting relegated.

If Mbete comes out second half, we should be looking for a new manager tomorrow. He’s worse than Tucker, Trotman, Houduto …

Anyone else had that catchy little ditty “Forest get battered everywhere they go” stuck in their heads all day? Assuming they weren’t singing it at themselves with their amazing singing fans outsinging everyone else so there … Shame our own batterings are stopping us from enjoying it more.

Third last season, on TV practically every week, a Wembley final, 16,000 season tickets sold. Manager leaves due to lack of ambition, best players sold and not adequately replaced. Then we’re told Hoyle is our saviour, pumping in £5m a year to keep us afloat. Is that sum in addition to the above or covered by it for a few years? It doesn’t seem to add up, but until we see the accounts who knows? The underinvestment is at the root of it and people might start to realise that CC worked miracles with what he had to work with. Now I’m not going to be entitled and suggest what DH spends his money on, but something needs to change if we want to play in the top two divisions.

I like his attitude. Let’s hope it translates onto the pitch. The main worry is fans thinking the players are better than they are. CC got every last ounce out of the squad and had a bit of luck. Since then we’ve obviously lost a few of the better ones too. So we need to be a bit patient and bear that in mind. Good luck Mark!

Didn't Maynard say that Fotheringham wasn't bringing anyone in with him? No, that was Kenny irons "He's not allowed to bring any of his own staff in.
Make of that what you will!"Crucially no one has said the club aren’t planning on bringing anyone else in. 👀

It’s a real shame for Harratt. He’s made an impact off the bench in three or four games but the last time we saw him, he didn’t look himself at all, not sure why. We play with one up front and Cook is scoring most weeks. Oliver is on a big contract and going off his goal record in L1 the last couple of years, he is next in line to play. We have so many other forwards, his chances now are limited and it’s probably best for him if he gets another loan move in January. The potential is definitely there, we just have too big a squad here, for him to get a run of starts that he’ll want and need. How about Crichlow?
