city have only given the true attendance figures for 3 home games this season.
4,127 v Barnsley. 2,640 v Aldershot. 6,047 v Chesham.
Impressive stuff.

Credit to Bradford for charging £15. Town would have probably charged over £30. At least they would have done if Clibbens was still here.

Walsall preferably. If not them, Barnsley.

I'd prefer Walsall cos I think they'd probably be more likely to struggle than the other 3 playoff teams

I couldnt care less if they went under. Horrible little club with delusions of grandeur because they are based in the largest undeveloped city in western europe. Bradford twinned with mogadishu.
Weve had higher home and away support than them since forever.
One season with all these gimics to try and get people through there gates and suddenly they have a bigger following? Lol.
Ive just looked at the stats for away support for the past five seasons and we beat them every year. Cant swindle them figures.

I think we're royally fucked now, but it would have been brilliant to renew old acquaintances next season.

Just looking at West Yorkshire Derbies:
We've been in the same league as Bradford just 21 seasons in our 116 year history.
We've been in the same league as Leeds 33 seasons (34 come August) — 16 of those top flight.
Leeds and Bradford just 10 seasons in 97 years.
In fact, Bradford have been in the same league as Bradford Park Avenue more times than either us or Leeds (25 seasons), and Halifax too (33 seasons).

To be honest Babs a season chasing promotion following a cup final, giant killing cup run, promotion and ending in the play offs v another season just above relegation spot in the same division? It is amazing that we are so close.1400 for a club apparently pulling 19000 in every week and reaching the play offs isn't that great either is it? Good to see you back anyway, an intelligent alternative to Bile and Queeny. I though you had died.

Just about still here mate! Might bob in a bit more often now as the posting generally appears a bit more measured than perhaps it was previously! Been a fair while since I had a look, so just thought I'd see what you made of us potentially renewing rivalries next season.
You make fair points to be honest, and League One certainly has had a northern bias this season, which has definitely helped the figures. Balance wise, we averaged second highest at home, and kept an identical position in the away followings table - in fact Sheffield United averaged a couple of thousand more at home, but only just over a hundred away, so the ratios are in keeping with theirs.
Anyway, I digress.....
How many have you sold now? Do you rate Nahki as highly as I / we did, and what are your chances of doing anything next season? Observing from afar, your results have been very inconsistent. Looked like you'd turned a massive corner one week, only to be brought back down to earth the next. As always, the true picture will be revealed once he's done his own recruitment and how that affects you going forward. Looks like he's definitely got the best out of Wells anyway.....

Id imagine Sheffield Utds figures for how many were there were a lot more accurate than yours and that 2000 gap was actually 3 times that.

Well there you go then - confirmation that our away support has been superb this season then! Thanks Slaps! Just on another note, Millwall are saying out players aren't going to know what's hit them at the Den on Friday night. They've referred to your play-off down there in 2010, stating: 'Ask Huddersfield fans about our play off game against them in 2010. Their fans wanked themselves silly afterwards saying what an atmosphere atmosphere it was, commentators on sky were saying how Huddersfield players were scared to come wide. The level of stick they got on throw ins etc. trust me you lot are in for a shock Friday when you think it's just going to be a standard atmosphere' Is this actually true, or are they blowing it completely out of proportion?!

City should be able to go there and be able to beat them but i don't think by enough goals. Horrible club Millwall.

They're half right. The atmosphere was nothing special- pretty much what you get in any play off game. The bit about our players bottling it is true though- the one exception being Peter Clarke. Millwall were also saying 'there no tougher place to go than bradford' last week, so i wouldn't take anything they say as read.

Christ!!
Their fans are on another level of 'Neanderthal' though, it has to be said. One of their coaches took a detour onto Manningham Lane on Sunday, the driver happily stopped it in the middle of the road holding up all the traffic, and they all marauded off it and indiscimnently attacked anybody and everybody walking towards the ground. Kids screaming and crying and the lot.

I went (drove a 17 seater mini bus) and the atmosphere was OK - not brilliant, not terrible, however we did have one player who embarrassed himself and the club by being "scarred" to retrieve the ball for a throw in. The worst result for our club was the effect the defeat had on Lee Clark as manager - that season he was like Kevin Keegan, not bothered if you score 3 cos we'll score 4, after it he changed and became very negative, obsessed with not losing rather than winning, culminating in a record breaking unbeaten run that didn't gain promotion. So, yes the atmosphere on Friday will be good, if you've never been before it's probably intimidating, if you have been it will be better than a regular game and if you pull off a massive shock at least your safe in the top tier inside the ground.

And I've heard about some sort of reinforced plastic tunnel to the tube? They are talking full blown riots at the two home legs in the play-offs they've lost at the New Den......just in case some sort of miracle does happen.

It was a bit different when we went as there had been a massive fight on the ring road in hudds about 3 weeks earlier for one of the final league games. Cue a load of bluster from Millwall mongs about revenge etc. There was even talk of not allowing away fans to travel at one point. We had to be bussed out after the game on busses with caged up windows to Canada Water, with the busses getting pelted most of the way. I think most of this though was down to what happened previously. I actually thought the atmosphere on the night was very good.

We all had to meet about ten miles away from the ground and be escorted in as a convoy. The police advised against anyone travelling to the game by tube or train, in fact I seem to remember they made it mandatory that everyone going to the match as an away fan had to be part of the convoy and meet in this location ten mlies away. We'd had trouble with them at both home games (league and playoffs) WYP did their best to discourage people travelling and we took a pitiful amount of about 1,400,it was a Tuesday night if memory serves but still rubbish for what was our biggest game in a long, long time. I doubt you'll be kept in as it's all caged off, caged coach park, caged walkway until you get to the train station. Your perfectly safe inside the ground. I'd strongly advise against driving and parking near the ground. I went to Millwall the year before and got the train in, plenty of meat heads and a good atmosphere but no threats or aggression. The playoff match was another level. Whether or not that was because of the trouble that we'd had with them that season or because it was a big game I don't know. Probably a mixture of the two. Police have it well organised and as long as your not parking and walking around with a Claret and amber shirt on around the streets you should be fine.

Sounds like drinking at London Bridge then getting train to South Bermondsey is a good idea but not sure if parking at London Bridge is easy? Might have to keep City shirt out of sight until in the ground.

Was quite unique circumstances surrounding the 2nd leg. There'd been aggro when we'd played them a week or two before both at Waterloo and then in the ground with WYP. I seem to remember we weren't allowed (or strongly advised not to) travel by train or tube. Then we all had to wait for a convoy in from quite far out (and the same on the way out). Considering the furor surrounding it and authorities not really wanting us to travel (or at the very least stirring up the tensions even further with comments about trouble etc) I didn't think it was a shocking turnout, all things considered. I especially enjoyed the locals waving fivers at us out of their rancid council flats on the escort out.

The Millwall fan on there says the town fans attacked a coach of innocent families, children and pensioners all happily singing she'll be coming round the mountain with their half Town half Millwall scarves, and a van of "lads" following got out and twatted the Town fans to save their happy clappers. Honestly, how many times have I heard that, their guys attacking our kids, our big guys to the rescue etc.... The cctv coverage doesn't however show the said Millwall families getting attacked, just one bunch of idiots fighting another. For what its worth I quite fancy Bradford to do it on Friday, and for probably the first time I would be rather pleased if they did.
