Hope so. We bought him to play him now. We need to rebuild his confidence, not shatter it. He needs to shake off last Saturday for himself.

He MUST play, 100%, best left back we've had (ignore Chillers), I see that there Aluko scored for Fulham last night in their win at Brentford last night. He's quality. But so is Löwe

For me he's a quality player...however, he is very susceptible to aerial balls to the back post. The tactical god that is larrry Grayson worked that out and jocanovic copied. Lowe isn't going to grow a foot so we must get wise to this tactic. Either Schindler must pull wide to clear or ward must come off his line to deal with them. If we don't every team (mclaren is inept) will just do the same thing and we'll be 1-0 down before we've got going.
We are not big enough. Schindler is 7/10 aerially, Smith maybe a 6/10. Hudson I could not give more than a 4/10, Lowe 3/10. That will not cut it at this level.
Wagner must address this and decide if he can afford NOT to play hefele and if we can bring any height elsewhere on the pitch.

Bumping this.
Thought he had his best game for Town today.
Particularly impressed with his passing.
We haven't had a decent (permanent) left back in years and think we have good one in him.

Fantastic performance cant ask for more than that. Did notice him jog off after game and not join in with the celebrations bit out of character for him, perhaps he needed the toilet didnt look injured bit unusual all the others stayed out

I would imagine it would be physically impossible.

I think he's the best left back in the division. For whatever minimal fee we paid for him and (I guess) around 8k per week he's bloody gold dust. As is Schmidt, who probably cost us about the same and gets better and better.

Just quietly gets on with his job... like Schindler. Another very good acquisition from Wagner.

Class act - great touch and fast brain - perfect modern fullback.

The most balanced fullback/wingback combination I can remember at town in Löwe & Smith. Both have played major roles in our success so far this season.

Thought tommy had a bit of an off game.

Thought lowe was fantastic yesterday, his delivery was top notch. Thought tommy had a bit of an off game. Fair enough, it does rather depend how the game is going on his side of the pitch and i think they all struggled a bit, opposition teams will know that smithy can be very effective and probably organise to reduce his threat. The game elsewhere looked great.

Football smart, technically good and more gritty than his appearance would suggest.
A couple of yards faster and inches taller and he'd have had a career in the top flight.
I think these traits are why he excels when the team is dominating possession, but not necessarily when we're under the cosh, in particular if his direct opponent is fast or we're facing an aerial bombardment.

Meant to be a decent penalty taker too...will be interesting to see if he, Wells or Mooy is chief pen taker...if we ever get one!!

Underrated. Amazing how this used to be a position we were so weak in. Another one of the Germans to make the transition to Championship football look effortless. Just needs to become a little more of an extrovert - dish out a few bollockings and let Rajiv know when to release the ball and he will be Premier League quality.

I don't think he is underrated, he is just one of many of over achievers in a magnificent football team.

Excuse my ignorance but don't we have a song for this lad yet? Every other starter on Wednesday night had his name sung.
