If you stayed behind you're a sad bastard with nowhere to be after tbh I think a sad bastard is someone who feels the need to call fellow supporters who support our club through thick and thin. If you feel that way why bother coming in the first place. I wasn't the prick who started this thread calling us an embarrassment

I find it embarrassing how some people are prepared to justify today's performance and argue that it was acceptable because of the circumstances.
4 teams guaranteed (more or less) a playoff spot already at the beginning of the day. Choose 1 of those 4 teams to put 0 effort into their match and you'd be happy that it was Town?
Just look at the other 3 teams in the playoffs results today: Reading got an away win putting 4 past their opposition.
Sheffield Wednesday had a narrow home defeat to a very good fellow playoff side despite playing with 10 men.
Fulham got an away win against against a fellow playoff side.
Then look at Town: A 3 - 0 home thumping, down to 10 men to a mid table side with nothing to play for.
Out of all the 4 teams in the playoffs, I highly anticipate that we're the only team who have fans questioning why their side put in such a gutless, heartless performance today.
Am I thankful for a great season? Yes.
Am I thankful for witnessing one of the worst performances I've seen from a Town side since the Mick Wadsworth era? Absolutely not!
If you have to question if the people who left early are "true" Town fans, then to me, you have to question if the people trying justify today's performance are "true" Town fans also.

No not the performance but the fans who left early. You don't deserve the club. Part timers. I've watched Town since 1962 & today for the first time ever, I left early, we were truly woeful & embarrassing. We've seen some wonderful performances this season, however the last few games, have been very disappointing - UTT. Serious question: why was the season we got into the playoffs for the prem the one you choose to leave early? Not the shite we've been served up under countless managers too numerous to mention, the relegations, going bust even! But the season we get into the playoffs for the premier league is the one where you decide enough is enough I'm walking early. What the genuine fuck?!

I left early to get tickets for the playoff, and to get home a bit earlier. Decision made a little easier by the fact that there was absolutely no entertainment on offer. On balance, football is entertainment, I think.
Some disagree, but I've never been one for religion so write to support everyone offended by this moralising bullshit. "Thou shalt not leave early" I fuc king shall.

81 points! Our highest finish in decades. We win together, we lose together. However for those who left, it's quite clearly 'We win together, you lose alone". Sorry pal but that is absolute bollocks Saw some Cardiff fans after who asked why we were so half arsed?? Could understand the players going through the motions so why slate the fans fr doing the same? Next week is what matters Might as well have been a testimonial today A waste of everyone's time

What's surprising is how surprised those who went are. Did they really think the players were going to testing their hamstrings today over a match that didn't matter? Get real.

Thought this year was going to be different, just got to me today. The players were poor, too many in the team based just not pulling their weight. Why have we been so poor recently. Total lack of a plan B, dwelling on the ball too long,,we're conceding goals, but not scoring any, not expecting anything from next weeks game, it's time for the management & coaching team, to earn their corn. Despite my comments I'll there next week cheering my beloved club on - UTT.

1. From first minute you could predict result. 2 players all waiting for next weekend. We are massive underdogs though.

Yes I did, pride in the shirt, we looked totally devoid of confidence & spirit, there were players out there today, taking the piss, just not good enough - UTT

It was a case of play the first XI at 50% effort or the second XI at 100%. Think Wagner made the wrong choice, probably been bullied into it by the EFL/media etc. But the main thing is no injuries and the players will be back to full effort next Sunday.

Usual malcontent bile on here from the usual suspects. What a season, forget today. Wagner will lift them and we will have a right old go at it. If we fall short so be it. Saw enough from Izzy Brown to suggest he will trouble them and him being fit and back is what im taking from today. If he can lift them and get them set up properly and steer us through this the bloke is a genius. If not hes a bloody good manager that has taken this club forward hugely. Massively looking forward to sun, no fear nothing to prove, underdog. Lets go.

Left at half time. I'd have been more embarrassed to stay. I was in Costa coffee by 60 minutes..returned an hour or so later to give Hef a big hug for the play offs... it was a complete non event and I had no qualms about dumping it for the latte

I left when the third goal went in. I've shown my appreciation all season and don't need to wait until a final match lap of honour to do so. If the players aren't going to treat today's game seriously - and I defy anyone to argue otherwise - then I certainly have the right to not stick around till the end. top fan.

Feel sorry for those who left early to be honest. That 4 year old rifling one in from 6 yards out was the highlight of the afternoon! He's small for his age I know, but he's actually six. He's my youngest grandson. I was so proud of him. Best thing I saw all afternoon!

I'll tell you what's embarrassing, referring to fellow fans as "part-timers" people can leave a match as and when they please (I'm saying that as someone who's never left a match early), many would probably be expecting a lap of honour after the play off game and to be able to show their appreciation then.
I was referred to as a "part-timer" at the Man City game by some prick who I had the misfortune to be sat next to this season and I'll be honest it completely ruined the rest of the season for me and I think, I've attended 1 match since then. Some people think there is a hierarchy of Town fans, you even see it on here, at the end of the day we all support the same club and should be allowed to do so in whatever way we like.
