Left at half time. I'd have been more embarrassed to stay. I was in Costa coffee by 60 minutes..returned an hour or so later to give Hef a big hug for the play offs... it was a complete non event and I had no qualms about dumping it for the latte At least you returned, better latte than never.

Thing is - the staying till the end wasn't about yesterday's performance - it was about the season. Wagner sets huge stall by the players and the crowd having a real connection and everyone being in this together. I bet he was really taken aback when he came back out to a 3/4 empty stadium. Some will have had stuff to do fair enough but it's disappointing that many just deem it unacceptable that, even after a phenomenal season, the effort and performance wasn't there in a meaningless game. And because of that I'm not going to stay and swap mutual appreciation for what has been a great effort by everyone at the club - players and fans included.
As fans, Town have made huge strides in recent years, but there's still clearly plenty who only get behind the team when we're winning and throw the towel in when things aren't going well. Wagner knows the importance of sticking together - and he's got a bit more nous around the subject of football and football psychology than those who were sat in the pub slagging off their own players whilst the rest showed their appreciation of a season's long graft.

I have no issues with anyone wanting to leave before the end. However, as someone who sits on the end of a row near the exit stairs I get annoyed of those leaving dawdling down the steps and stopping to watch the action thus blocking my view.
If you want to leave, then just leave, get out, don't stop!
I feel better now - thanks DATM for the outlet (cheaper than counselling)

Hang on, Id actually thought this was a thread moaning about people leaving before the game ended, but it's moaning about people leaving after the final whistle but before the end of season "parade"?! Amazing. Those parades are for kids and old people surely?

Had better things to do than watch Cardiff's centre halves and full backs pass it around whilst we saved our legs for the play offs and avoided chasing down. Not a criticism but just an observation that i'd rather beat the traffic and get home. I was there very early though so showed plenty of appreciation to the players during the warm up and also I applauded the cyclists when they did their lap of honour. Shame on anyone that didn't, absolute disgusting, unspeakable shame on you.

Amazing. Those parades are for kids and old people surely? Season isnt over yet? I am also not a great believer in 'seasons long graft' when talking about footballers.. Lets have some real world perspective on it.. We have done very well but im afraid that brings with it certain expectations, if it does not then you dont deserve to be here and you certainly wont succeed further.. We saw out a league game on saturday that clearly meant little to the staff and players due to the upcoming games, if you want to approach the play offs using this method/tactic then fine but I think expecting 20k people to say around on a nice sunday afternoon to watch you piss about for the full 90 minutes plus is a bit much.. Its a nothing game apparently, we all have bigger fish to fry and we can all applaud the staff and players next sunday, IF the season in REALITY, ends there. A positive result or a close one still means its not over by a long chalk, the only 'defeatist' attitude that pisses me off is 'whatever happens its been a great season?', the f-cking thing is not done yet. Have whatever perspective you care to have after it FINISHES, it sounds like accepting this is as good as it gets already.. There is no right or wrong way to go into the play offs, there is only being in them.. The achievement may, in the end, just be that but NOT YET..

Old enough that keeping them in the ground for 20 minutes after the final whistle means I don't have to weave around the doddering old slow coaches on the walk back up to the pub and can be there before a queue forms.

I am one who left before they came back out.
I didn't even think about them doing the lap of honour though, gutted I missed it!
