I'm surprised by how the sales have gone so far but at the end of the day Sunday is not about the fun or the atmosphere, it's about the result. Anyone turning up expecting the ground to be rocking might have a bit of a surprise in store because it's going to be a tense and nervy atmosphere. It's a first leg, against a strong team who have beaten us twice this season and we're going in on poor form with a lot of fans half-expecting us to lose the tie overall. I know it's not the way we'd like it to be and the NSL guys will be trying their damned hardest to get the place going but my gut feeling is that it will be flat on Sunday until if/when we take the lead.

Best post so far ! On the attendance, as has already been said - it's the first leg, with a crap kick-off time/day, live on TV and we've been crap recently. So it's difficult to see many outside the core support attending. It should still be another 20K+ crowd though. Sorry mate can't agree with the last bit . If you have any allegiance to town why wouldn't you want to attend one of their biggest games in the last 50 years ? Seems a bit weird to me but each to their own Because it's been a bit boring for the last few months and a reasonable chance it will be again?? Very easy to understand why someone wouldn't necessarily want to pay and attend at the moment. It's supposed to be entertainment. (I've got tickets)

I think getting drubbed at home by a team with nothing to play for and with an almost full strength side put out by us will have put a few off. Add to that we are playing a team that have done the double over us and our abysmal recent form it's hard to see why any floating supporter would want to attend.
Having said that 7 tickets popped through the post for me and a few mates this week. 2 of which have never even been.

Having started the thread the update is I now have the 3 tickets I wanted.
No way in the world I wanted to take the chance of not being there after 40 years plus supporting the boys.
Win, lose or draw I can say I was there.
360 mile round trip but worth every mile.

Because it's been a bit boring for the last few months and a reasonable chance it will be again?? Based on what? Based on the previous ~20 hours of football we've seen home and away not having been the most enthralling spectacle. Why would anyone expect that to change? (Personally I expect it to be a complete turnaround and we'll play a hyper energetic style and win out by 4 goals....but I don't mind too much if that doesn't happen and I'm disappointed)

I really don't get why you'd want to sit with away fans in a game like this. It will be a tense game, one where you struggle to control your emotions and being in the opposite end means you can't show any towards your team.

Ah lads, can someone please get a fella one ticket Are you puddled? Do you always try to get a ticket for a live game of football when you're 'visiting' places, or maybe you should go to the pub like most normal people would?

I'd rather take in the atmosphere of a live game than watch it on a tv. Never get people like you who think just because a game is on tv means you should watch it on tv and not go to the game.

Why should you get a ticket which could possibly mean a local person with some level of interest in Huddersfield Town missing out?

Didn't know you knew me, thanks for the insight into what I'm like - or maybe I'm not like... BTW if you are genuine and do this regular then I can only applaud you as a genuine football fan, but when there's nothing riding on a game for my team it just doesn't spark the interest to go and watch a game in person...

The demand for tickets has been a huge disappointment to say the least , if wendies had the home tie same ko time etc would they sell out ....the pessimism in this area and amongst Town fans is beyond belief...the excuses for not going to the home tie cringeworthy and weird...we have pisspot support in terms of numbers but the hardcore is magnificent they deserve a trip to Wembley and a bash at the promised land ...
You shithouses with your prem tv teams who say you also support Town, just fook off

Just logged onto the seating plan and it's looking like it's starting to fill up now we are on general sale. Couple of hundred in the corners of the Kilner Bank and not many left in the Riverside either (mainly singles). Swimming pool end still plenty of availability, not even half full yet.
Let's get it sold out!
