it's just a pity the club are showing absolutely no loyalty to people have followed town up and down the country over the years - surely when they knew we had a strong chance f the play offs (about 2 months ago) they should have come up with a plan - i am not sure where i am in the supporter order but having attended numerous away games where we have taken 1000 or less i will be seriously miffedif i miss out

I posted about this a couple of years ago and got shouted down by all the clever people on here who always know better. The fairest way is a points system say a 100 points being awarded for season card holders, a further say 50 points for foundation members and travel members etc. Then points for every away game you attend say 15 points. You have to buy your away ticket from the club they keep a record and everyone with say 250 points gets first dabs at the big match tickets non season card holders can benefit by this system and season card holders are rewarded for their advanced purchase.

We've sold out any chance you can give us any in the away end ? Anymore in our away end? No as it stands there are 12 seats (home part) left in the south stand which you'll be sharing with our supporters, so I don't see you being given more alocation. We are unable to allocate any other stand to away fans due to no valid Safety certificate. Have your fans been given the leppings lane lower tier? I'm not sure why you didn't stick us down their, give us 2,500 or whatever it holds and then take the 4,000 seats for yourselves upstairs.(I realise all teams seem to have agreed on a 2,000 only away allocation) but why didn't you limit us to that down below and then take the upstairs? Seems strange that they'll be 2,000 empties upstairs when you've quickly sold out and could've got another 1,500 of your own fans in which wouldn't have been any losses to us.

I don't think the SAG allow 2,000 in the lower tier currently. And you wouldn't get another 2,000 in the upper tier - I think the limit there is 3,200 when Wednesday fans are in the bottom bit. That's what Fulham got anyway. Should be an interesting couple of games, wouldn't like to predict which way the dice will fall but if you should beat us, I'd hope you'd fly the white rose in the Premier League, where lets face it, we've been criminally under represented for far too long.

For info, the way it plays out is we win on Sunday, and then you don't touch the ball on Wednesday as we masterfully comtrol a 0-0. Thanks. On to Reading.

Am I correct in thinking its season card holders who are also Blue and White foundation members only today? Normal season card holders on Friday?

Town want an academy, the foundation and promotions support that desire. Away tickets dont..
The system suits more people than it does not, democracy and simplicity in action..
The Terrier on tour stuff was to further other peoples chances(those that did not pay the £8 a month to the foundation) to get away tickets. There has to be an incentive to give the club money(please note the word GIVE)...
If you buy tickets you get to watch games either home or away, its your choice. If you pay into the foundation you get a ticket in a draw and a couple of incentives including preference for tickets, thats it..
People are free to make their choices in regards to spending their own money. The club need season card holders, they then need bums on seats from people paying each game to watch Town at home, next they need B&w members/Patrons and Town on Tour, the away support outside of these is sadly last on the 'NEED' scale.
Please dont ask Dean to stand even more of the costs.. in fairness the club are making the game as accessible and cost effective as they can..

Am I correct in thinking its season card holders who are also Blue and White foundation members only today? Normal season card holders on Friday? "Super Priority" today (Season Ticket PLUS B&W or ToT or Patron) + "Priority" general Season tickets holders on Friday from 9am. Any remaining tickets on general sale from 9am on Monday.

I don't thinking about this...I don't ever remember buying a ticket, you just turned up at the away ground and handed over cash, and for some reason there was always enough room. Pretty sure it was cash on the door for the biggish cup games we had at Leeds Rd too. First ticketed games I recall were the two visits to old Wembley, where the only option was to turn up and queue from a stupid hour, no priority arrangements I'm aware of, although I suspect the sneaky patrons got there's delivered by hand such as things were back then...but it was all part of the experience...get a mate to turn up with bacon butties after a couple of hours etc. Still feels a bit weird buying tickets for an away game today, I used to like the situation, where having decided not to go to a game, I'd get a call at 12 .."do you fancy a trip to Bolton", and be on our way an hour later.

Yeah I only remember having to buy tickets in advance for Swansea in the Autoglass.
Got down to Leeds Road relatively early, but even then, we were stuck in a queue that went right back the car park (wasteland?) behind the open end.
Few years ago now, mind.

Of course in those days there was no segregation so you could chose any turnstile you liked. I remember going to the baseball ground one year and wandering around amongst the derby loyals in the touchline terrace...muttering away. I don't even recall whether it was even a consideration how many away fans would turn up..everybody queued, everybody paid and got in. How clubs knew if 2,000 or 15,000 fans were going to an away game seems to total guesswork, although the football special trains might have given a clue when these were laid on. I do recall though that some of those standing terraces were very tightly packed, you couldn't get your hands out of your pockets and you swayed and rolled as the crowd did. Any idea of going to the toilet, or half time snack was totally out of the question.

What they should have is a membership scheme. £5 For the season you get an account / card and then the away games are categorised with cat a being long distance trips worth 200 points cat b middle distance 100 and cat c local games 50 points. Then priority for play off games can be staggered (like weds and reading have done). You can still go to any away game without a membership card but you won't get points and can't complain when you're 4th priority for these big games. Club still make money on the £5 membership too.

I can only ever remember two all ticket matches at Leeds Road
Sheffield Wednesday in the Cup around 1966 (but don't forget they're MASSIVE) and, Blackpool for the last ever game (even then although we bought tickets, it may still have been pay on the day)
