In contrast to the OP, I thought the atmosphere generated by the Huddersfield fans was great. Where I was sat in the Revell, the Wednesday fans were very quiet although I don't think our style of play helped.

A couple of Wednesday fans attacked a town shirter in the Revell ward lower around 5 minutes into the game. They were swiftly ejected.

If opposition fans come into the home end and sit on their hands like you claim to have done then I don't see a massive problem with it. It's when people start arsing about.

I even sat in the Bramall Lane kop once for a Steel city Derby and I'm still alive.

Fair play to you, I don't think I could bring myself to sit in the Leeds end if we were playing them.

The problem with it to me is that even if you are a decent respectable fan who is not out to cause or be involved in any trouble, there are always fans in the home stand who will go crazy if they notice you. I don't condone the home fans who would attack someone who is just there to enjoy the game but you are risking that happening and other people being unwittingly and undeservedly dragged into it and potentially getting hurt. So I think its stupid selfish behavior. While I wish it was not necessary, segregation exists to prevent trouble, intentionally circumventing it should get you banned from the stadium.
