If you read my previous discussion the point I'm trying to highlight is that he gets us out of trouble sand gets us playing further upfield. Whether directly or indirectly he actually sets the chance up, the point remains that without him we wouldn't create half as many chances. Is that something only Mooy does ? Surely thats just the job of a central midfielder, it's what Clayton and Butterfield did too We've never had a central midfielder just like Mooy.

This ?
Twat
Like a Night Club in the morning, you’re the bitter end Like a recently disinfected shit-house, you’re clean round the bend You give me the horrors Too bad to be true All of my tomorrow’s Are lousy coz of you You put the Shat in Shatter Put the Pain in Spain Your germs are splattered about Your face is just a stain
You’re certainly no raver, commonly known as a drag Do us all a favour, here… wear this polythene bag
You’re like a dose of scabies I’ve got you under my skin You make life a fairy tale… Grimm!
People mention murder, the moment you arrive I’d consider killing you if I thought you were alive You’ve got this slippery quality It makes me think of phlegm And a dual personality I hate both of them
Your bad breath, vamps disease, destruction, and decay Please, please, please, please, take yourself away Like a death a birthday party You ruin all the fun Like a sucked and spat our smartie you’re no use to anyone Like the shadow of the guillotine On a dead consumptive’s face Speaking as an outsider What do you think of the human race
You went to a progressive psychiatrist He recommended suicide… Before scratching your bad name off his list And pointing the way outside
You hear laughter breaking through, it makes you want to fart You’re heading for a breakdown Better pull yourself apart
Your dirty name gets passed about when something goes amiss Your attitudes are platitudes Just make me wanna piss
What kind of creature bore you Was is some kind of bat They can’t find a good word for you But I can…
TWAT

It doesn't matter now though does it, he seems to be the one loan player who isn't looking to stay

In relation to the original question I was replying to (would I prefer Wood or Mooy) my answer remains.

We've never had a central midfielder just like Mooy. Bald ? Was a big fan of both Clayton and Butterfield but they played in weaker Town teams. Mooy has probably benefitted from being in more settled and stronger team and having that confidence in it.

I don't think I'd pay £10m for Wood either, this has been his only outstanding season hasn't it ?

Surely thats just the job of a central midfielder, it's what Clayton and Butterfield did too I reckon Clayton, with top flight experience under his belt now, could easily slot in and do the Mooy role at half the cost. He looked effective in that role (other than when cocking up at the back, but we didn't have the comfortable ball playing defenders as an escape) to me, until someone (Grayson? Robins? Powell??) ludicrously decided he should play wide right of a three.

I always thought that His move to Boro signalled the end for Robins. Pretty much everything went through Clayton and we had no plan B on the first game we had without him which was the drubbing by Bournmouth.

I'd have liked to see Butts with Wagner in charge of him, I think he'd have been a hell of a player I could see that too. His response to the Derby fans when we played with them shows it hasn't quite been the dream move. And there was a Boro fan on here suggesting Clayton wasn't quite good enough for the prem. A bit of Wagner magic could have been all the difference.

Anyone reckon we will sign the lad permanently? Think he would be a great signing personally. Can't see Brown coming back but you never know. We missed Palmers creativity and attacking flare after he got injured.

I bet he'd love to play for us now.

I don't see what your point is there ... he wouldn't get on the bus .. he was persuaded ... then when he played he played pretty well .. they're not mutually exclusive

I still wonder what Wagner might've done with him given a chance

I liked butterfield a lot, certainly when compared to Clayton .. but not a patch on Mooy brown or palmer imo

So other than offering another option he'd have offered very little for the majority of the season.
