Brown should drop back to the championship rather than sign for Brighton as he'll spend most of the season on their bench

Brown would be brilliant for Brighton imho. Wouldn't be as effective in a 2 though. Their midfield is their weakness. Six points for us if they play 2 against our 3 in midfield again. I am not a Brighton fan, but I'd be amazed if you took 6 points off them next season. Three at most. You must be easily amazed. We thrashed them a home a few months ago and they're apparently struggling to get players in while we look like we have a good few irons in the fire.

Watching that video reminded me how good he was last season - the injury made him drop from the memory a little.
Every through ball he played in that video had perfect pace for the attacked to run on to. Amazing stuff.
And he knows where the goal is.

Must say I'm little surprised to hear folk thinking we should keep Scannell, even just as a squad player. He couldn't make the starting 11 and rarely made the bench in the Championship so I'm struggling to see why DW would think he could at the next level. Scannell is naturally one of our most talented players but lacks consistency Wagners forte is getting the best from players but injuries meant Scanz never got going last season or the year before when he was out for over two months just after Wagner arrived. Personally it's not fair to write him off because he's been injured Scanz has the talent and is at an age when he's entering his prime. If he pulls it together he's a serious handful When a team goes up there's usually one you don't think will step who actually excels (e.g. Darren bullock). Playing with and against better players and under wagners management Scanz is the one for me on the books who could surprise a few

And how many of the games he missed was due to injury or fitness due to coming back from injury and playing catchup? Fair enough. It was a one month injury turning into 4 I believe. He returned for the Wolves game and played against Brum and Cardiff but wasn't even on the bench for the 3 playoff games. If you look at the bench for those 3 games there were no back up wingers. In fact I'd say they were very weak benches overall. I remember thinking at the time that if Scannell, Bunn or Lolley can't make those benches then they won't be here next year no matter what league we are in.

Obviously you can't easily predict games, or count on anything - but certainly no fears against them and I'd be even more confident if, as I said, they only played 2 against our 3 in central midfield. I'd be amazed as well by the way!

Brown should drop back to the championship rather than sign for Brighton as he'll spend most of the season on their bench If they regularly play 2 in midfield maybe, but they were not strong in midfield last season and I can't think of any reason why Brown wouldn't be starting for them?

What happened to Bruce's face in that picture? Tripped over Mccormacks fence and instead of dropping his kebab and chips to protect himself, he face planted in to his rose bush

If you had said to me a few years back that we would now be in a position where ourselves and Aston Villa would in for the same Players and in a position to pay the same wages and transfer fees (and we would potentially be viewed as the better option!).
It's all very surreal.

Probably more important why would Chelsea want him to go to villa. He'll learn more in the Premier League with DW.

Gets promoted with Town, seems like he adored his time here, but nah think I'll drop down and go on loan at Villa for the same money and it'll help me develop better. Not

Delay on the Kasey Palmer loan is because #htafc want an option to buy at conclusion of the loan 🔵⚪️

Had a spell under Powell where he did OK for a few months. Creates very little and scores even less. Absolutely nowhere near Premier League quality, I would imagine he'll be gone soon along with Bunn and Lolley.

Palmer is technically better but Brown stronger and has more of an edge to his game - he gave us a new dimension when he came at a time when we needed one. Both good movement, vision etc
I think people remember Brown's play off misses but he imo (stats may tell me otherwise) was the more clinical of the two over the course of their loans
Both would be excellent signings and would only get better under Wagner - if I had to choose one I'd go for Brown. I'd rather have both don't get me wrong!

If we could get both it would be somewhat of a masterstroke imo. Both are naturally gifted footballers who are only going to get better.

If true, I'm assuming we want to have a price/option to buy at the end of the loan deal if Chelsea decide that they want to sell him. Rather than the Kachunga deal which was a loan with a guaranteed buy at a certain price set from the start.

I do think Izzy likes the attention and would do this sort of thing to wind people up though.

Yep. It's even worse now that Terry has signed for Villa... I would have had (wages aside!) Terry here in a flash. Not me. It could well be that I and many others have the wrong impression of him, but he seems like he puts himself ahead of the team and I can't imagine Wagner being on board with that.
