This is seriously getting bad for the clubs integrity and PR. It is wmbarrassing that we have had every announcement leaked. It allowing rumour and speculation to take over is being detrimental. The club need to learn a good lesson from this and just announce things as they happen.
If it's true that he has signed the contract but then still needed a medical, then come out and say that, if he fails the medical now then things will only look bad on the club.

Yeah but the club know Mooy and Mooys character already, they don't know Mounie and I presume they expect people to do what they say so (more speculation) if they told him to wait for the club to announce it, who knows? But maybe he gave that interview as he was told it was ok as town would the announcing the deal at X time. Then they got the news that something wasn't right with his medical and had to delay the announcement |

At the press conference Wagner said that we were waiting for something medical related and that once complete he would be a Town player. I think this one has everyone on edge because of high expectations of the player, he's our record signing, and the fact that the likely transfer was leaked in France a couple of weeks back. It seems like it has been dragging on a long time as a result of that leak. |

It's got lots of people talking, I'm not in PR but I'm pretty sure that's no bad thing! Some fans reaction to the new kit, now that's embarrassing, but spending 12 million on a player and then pausing the release to show respect to a club who have lost someone is anything but embarrassing! |

Ive got no inside info on club transfers but it is a bit odd to do an interview like that before the clubs confirmed it in the media. Bit odd to post a picture of your bloke signing before it's announced too but that's what happened to Depoitre. These Europeans seem more impatient than DATM users. Yeah I agree. Im not saying it won't happen. Its just a bit of a weird carry on. That bit with Watford, if they signed him shipping him straight off to Udinese has got me questioning the authenticity of it to. Why the heck would they do that if they signed an 11 million player with unknown potential for this level. They are hardly Man City where a player like that couldn't get near the side and the money Is pocket change. Let's hope it happens anyway |

In all seriousness, the fact his photo was taken in the kit and the news isn't out, irrespective of the Montpellier President's death, is slightly odd now. Anyway, it's the jerk that leaked the photo who should be embarrassed, but I suspect they won't be. |

All clubs have different procedures for medicals. There is no real pass or fail. If blood tests reveal anything requiring further investigation then the player will need to see a consultant for his own peace of mind as well as the club. This obviously takes time to organise. Hopefully a minor issue that will easily be sorted to everyone`s satisfaction.

I philosophical about this transfer. I would for Mounie to sign. But if something has shown up in the medical. Be it an undiagnosed condition or evidence that he has been partying too hard or something else. Then It makes sense not to spend £11.5-£13M on him if a liability is showing up.
My preference is everything turns out ok and we announce his signing early next week. There are a couple of Twitter posts suggesting the deal is now off though.
