The lad split opinion and for my part I could never quite decide what I truly felt about him. He never quite seemed to me to be a true Town player. Always felt the same, but could never put my finger on why. Possibly the Bradford link; but equally he never seemed to have much of a connection with the Town fans. Sat next to him at the awards do and he was full of praise for the Bradford support - less so for Town's (aside our recent improvement in atmosphere which nobody can argue against). |

Have never got the disdain wells got from part of the crowd here. By no means was he the most talented or the best i have seen....but he did a very decent job in at times an absolutely bang average team at best and without his goals we could very possibly have gone down. Wagner raised the stakes massively and it didnt quite work for him but some of the vitriol aimed in his direction baffles me. Particularly when you look at the likes of novak and lee who got excellent support despite being markedly inferior. Maybe they were more likeable ....i dont know.

A mid to lower end championship player who cost a mid to lower end championship price. He did a good enough job when we were a mid to lower end championship club. When we weren't one anymore, he looked short of what we needed. Signing and subsequently moving on wells, was good positive business all round for Town. Not sure novak and Lee were any more popular in terms of their ability. Novak was limited but a real trier. fans appreciate the effort i suppose but he always had a fringe player feel about him. And lee- i think any popularity around him was done with a large slice of humour and irony. He was almost a comedy figure. |

What is it with people who just want to spend all their time, particularly at such a good time for the club, bashing past players?? Nahki was a good servant, he scored a fair few for us, including some VERY important goals last season in a system that clearly didn't suit him. His penalty in the play off final was calm and cool under huge pressure at that point, job done, he's moved on because he didn't really suit the system and we got GREAT money for him, again job done. Goes with my (and should be all our) best wishes.... GET OVER IT!
