Same old same old down at The Skip. Players arrive and say what an honour it is to play for a massive team with a huge history. Kiss the badge, w@nk their chests yet as soon as a chance to escape shows itself...off they go!

Don't blame him, I wouldn't want to play for them either.

Leeds fans giving Wood lots of abuse on Twitter. They seem to be having trouble understanding that Burnley are actually bigger than they are, poor dears.

Course it's just possible Leeds are refusing to play him? No, he issued his own statement saying he is close to a move to a premier league team and didn't feel right in playing today and so withdrew himself from the squad.

Surely it is breach of contract when they refuse to play. Hope they fine him the maximum they can

Surely it is breach of contract when they refuse to play. Hope they fine him the maximum they can I guess when you factor in signing on fees and the impending pay rise he couldn't care less about a two week wages fine. Here's his statement for those that haven't seen it by the way: "Due to strong interest from a Premier League team, the ongoing discussions with the club, and given it has always been my ambition to play at the highest level, I donβt feel it is right that I play today. "I wish the team all the best and hope the lads can pick up the three points."

Yes, I confess I hadn't read his statement. Having said that I can't honestly blame him, he has a medical to face and doubt his commitment would be fully there.

Let that sink in...

To be honest if he is going to Burnley, I don't think they would want him playing either for fear of risk of injury.

Love how they implode from the inside out. Toxic fans, toxic club.

"We have lost another key player to a team no bigger than ours for the simple fact they are currently (but not for long) in a place that we should be in."
That sums their problems up perfectly.

"F*** you Chris Wood. We will pass you at the end of the season and until then, enjoy spending your time with a balding ginger and a left back that couldn't wipe the muck off Berardi's boots." At least they are not bitter about it

I remember in the 70's Brian Flynn and Ray Hankin going to Leeds from Burnley!! Couldn't blame them for wanting to join the champions of Europe. Chris Wood is just going for the moneyπππ

At least they are not bitter about it you can see the screwed up face and clenched fists at the computer of the poster.. dressed in full leeds kit with 'Bremner' on the back and the cutting of the Bayern game from the yorkshire post stuck on a peeling squad photo including Strachan on the wall... 'If only Don was here'...

The Chris Wood who pretty much single handedly kept them in the division last year with his goals...
They won't miss him at all will they?

Chris Wood, another snake has found another pit to lie in for the next few seasons and by all means I wish him the best of luck while he sees his career fall down the pan with a club with a very little shelf life in the Premier League.
Bet they'll have more shelf life than Leeds will in the next 10 years.

Chris Wood is just going for the moneyπππ To be fair, he's going because he wants to play and start Premier League games....I bet he'd have taken a pay cut for that opportunity (although obviously hasn't!!).

Bricott signing for forest is a very strange one to me...... thought he was a good player. Edit: sorry I spelled his name incorrectly.

Is it just me that think they will do well this year? I think they will be comfortably in the play offs, without wood
