Apart from the chance to play in one of the best leagues in the world, at a much more stable club with Premier League experience, and for extra wages, I really can't understand why a man born 12,000 miles away from West Yorkshire would want to play for any other team than Leeds.

Yes only Newport but we weren't putting 5 past anybody in recent history and now our scouts have unearthed a gem in a Rolls Royce of a midfielder in Saiz with 5 goals to his name already, the Yorkshire Messi ! 😉

Ssssshhhh! 😷

Is it just me that think they will do well this year? I think they will be comfortably in the play offs, without wood No not just you we already have the best squad we've had in years (with more to add in coming days) what seems to be a shrewd choice in manager and a Chairman who is not as mad as a bottle of crisps. You went German we are going Spanish with hopefully the same outcome for us in May.

Your style of football has outgrown him and whilst it would be difficult to not play him, it wouldn't be conducive to the football you look to be playing now.

Be very interesting to see how Wood does in the Town that never sleeps in Burnley with the six fingered boggle eyed banjo fiddlers. As a striker who generally needs 3 chances to score 1 would imagine those chances will be thinner on the ground and he will have to be more clinical, we shall see.

Ah Leeds, pissing the league because they've beaten 2 league 2 teams at home and been gifted the first half of their annual 6 point gift from Grayson.

Just as we sign a player with a ridiculous name, Leeds see that as a challenge and a red rag so rush out and sign a guy called...
Jay-Roy Grot
Hope he does well for them, because it'll be hilarious walking round Trinity seeing loads a handful of Leeds shirts with "GROT" on the back!

Ssssshhhh! 😷 Good to see that L666s fans still have their feet on the ground - I thought we were the kings of overrating our players. A midfielder that has scored 4 of his 5 goals against Port Vale and Newport, and has yet to complete 90 minutes in the league is suddenly worth £15m.

Fully aware he has scored 4 of his 5 goals against lower opposition but anybody who vaguely knows their football just knows when you see an excellent player who has definitely got it and barring injury will get a lot of goals from midfield in the Championship and have the Premier boys sniffing in a few months time. And now with Jay Roy Grot ( just waiting for the Grot Bags Goals headline) signed up whom I know little about but was a Fiorentina target a while back we trust in our foreign scouting network for getting far better value by going foreign rather than the usual suspects on the English Transfer merrygoround. Apparently a few more to come before Aug 31st and a good feeling about our Club for the first time in years from top to bottom.

Newport looked 'lost' after a while the other night and ended up looking like football was 'new' to them.. Think Nakhi might have bagged a few had he been 'up front' for you(no rumour or guess intended) t'aint a bad start though...

Same ones who will circle us for schindler, loewe, mounie, lossl et al no doubt. When clubs continue appointing managers who cant cope unless they can spend gazillions then the rest of us have a chance of picking up bargains. mourinho...pep...redknapp...benitez.......bruce....different types of manager in different types of club but all rely on cheque books to maintain their credibility.None interested in a young prospect who they can make better.

I am a realist and of course all you say is right, Newport shot their bolt in the first half, played very well but had no answer when some of the first string came on against their tired legs. Not ITK but suspect any possible move for Wells right now, if we were ever interested, will be severely hampered by fact he is injured for several weeks I understand. Good start for us both, who would have predicted that other than Felix the station cat obviously.

Whilst your guy may well have talent, I highly doubt he will be worth twice as much as Aaron Mooy particularly when he will be 27 in January.
