I remember getting the bus in to Town as a Lad, Huddersfield and New street in particular were great. The record shop a favourite. New street now?. It's really sad. On a plus point, I never tire of getting off the train and walking out of Huddersfield station. Then walk a bit and look back at the station itself. Need to do something with the George Hotel though. The station and facade is the only decent bit IMO, looks nice, lots of history and nice farmers blonde and barmaid ! In the jimmy Hendrix pub in the corner. Anyone ?!!!

Amazed anyone who is familiar with Hudds and St George's square wouldn't be able to interpret this to be honest...I hereby decree you are docked a ticketing priority level.

I support two clubs every week, town and whoever are beating Leeds. Every one they play in my fantacys. . The hatred for Leeds united in Huddersfield goes back a very long time. Leeds United only exist because our board jumped ship to resurrect the bankrupt Leeds City football club and form Leeds United , Town were saved by the people of Huddersfield raising the funds to keep the club here resisting the boards ambitions to take Huddersfield Town football club in its entirety to Leeds,I believe Leeds United have been hated by us Town fans ever since. Now Bradford City is a completely different story, living in Brighouse I would say there is a demarcation line between the two set of fans. At Wyke, it is Bradford territory, very few town fans live there, there are probably lots of Leeds fans there too, the Brighouse side of the A58, Whitehall Road is mainly Town and Leeds. Bradford City fans hate Leeds too but for different reasons to us, for many years there were more Leeds fans in Bradford than City fans. But Bradford used to be a two football club city and the supporters of each club hated each other, when Bradford Park Avenue collapsed, most of the supporters of that club switched allegiance to Leeds United. That's why there are so many Leeds fans in the city. They hate us because they see a town a quarter of their size traditionally getting larger crowds, and being more successful, they are simply jealous, Leeds support is basically shit, the biggest city in the country with just one football club, yet the % of the population of that city who support them maybe one of the smallest in the country but sadly they are also the club with the biggest number of Klingons outside the premier league. Our support is Pretty good, but we have a large traditional catchment area for a town of our size, its due to the pre second world war success of Huddersfield town it extended to the borders of all the major city's that surround Huddersfield and in particular the Heavy woollen towns, traditional support for a club does not disappear the Leeds fans of the heavy woollen area have always known of the deep hatred we have for Leeds United and in return hate us its natural, its the Klingon Leeds fans who are deluded and think Leeds united would in any way rivals to the Manchester clubs even if the were in the premier league the only club other than us in the premier league who would consider them rivals would be Newcastle as they both draw support from North Yorkshire. Though no doubt every club would hate Leeds United as they are and will always be one of the two most hated football clubs in the country. We must be one of the only clubs who can have a sing along with visiting supporters every game singing one of our favourite chants WE ALL HATE THE LEEDS SCUM. Where in North Yorkshire do the geordies pull a decent crowd from? North Yorkshire is massively Leeds. Harrogate, York, Selby, Scarborough etc all big Leeds areas. Northallerton and up you get a few Middlesbrough.

Ponte, Cas and Wakefield are, generally, Leeds supporting towns.

Born and bred in Netherton but Stanley Unwin was easier to understand than you Nick Farmers Blonde, nectar. I understood the Bradfield brewery reference it was the Hendrix bit that made me think you were being purposely daft again 😉 but Luna explained it and it, surprisingly, all fell into place then. You ever had the blueberry one Bradfield did (not the Belgian blue), it was very nice indeed, the local club had it on but I've never seen it since.

After all they have been there long enough and should be used to it by now
