Although it’s not too bad getting a draw it does mean that we now have to find those wins elsewhere. I’m not confident of a win against palace and think a draw will be reasonable, but looking at this result 2 points from palace and Swansea is not good.
Newcastle really starting to look strong now, palace looked good at man united and Brighton looking solid at home. Really hope that we don’t need those two points

Haven’t read the comments yet. It’s a better result than West Ham, Southampton, Brighton and WBA got. The BBC stats are hilarious. Very, very frustrating but could be worse.

Too much emotional bed wetting on here again. You need to deal with disappointment in a much more rational, adult manner. 1. At this stage in the season, the arithmetic is all about how we did compared to other relegation threatened clubs, which looks ok, doesn’t it? 2. The FA will consider a points deduction for West Ham for the appalling scenes. Why did the players have to act as security. Shambolic match day management.

Don’t know why he took off Pritchard. Can understand why he left the wingbacks on, as they are supposed to be providing the crosses and assists. Should have changed Malone and i would have been tempted to change Hogg just after halftime for depoitre. Today’s one of those days where I would love to see a team do something like ‘waterboy’ Tactics... something like all the forwards drop back and the defenders go up top for 5 minutes, really confuse the opposition and hope that the forwards can have a crack from further out. Just one of those games, unfortunately our style requires space to play into and we never got it with them sitting so tight. Needed to invite them onto us more, going one down probably made it harder for us. If we had got that goal then they would have had no choice but to come at us and I think we would have seen similar to watford Haha, what?! That's insane. Agree with your points about Scott Malone and Depoitre though.

You can dress that up however much you want but that was a terrible result given the circumstances. If we go down then this will be the first match people will look at.
Embarrassing performance yet again against 10 men.

I might be clutching at straws here, but it there any chance of a points deduction for what happened at W Ham do you reckon? I only know what I've seen on BBC but surely that represents a serious breach of safety?

AS is often the case we are too slow in the build up. Give the opposition far too much time to get settled and we end up floating in wimpy crosses. Desperately need some creativity.
The only person that looks like he could make something happen is VLP and he messes around with it too long too instead of getting an early ball into the box.
Very disappointing to me, definitely 2 points dropped. I felt we needed 8 points in 5 game, now we need 7 from 4 which to me is more difficult.

Embarrassing performance yet again against 10 men. I'd look at the two West Ham games, Bournemouth away and Stoke away. 4 far worse performances.

They are one of the favoured clubs. They're more likely to find a way to take some off us if it's close at the end.

Cannot understand why Mooy is still the first choice set piece taker with Pritchard on the pitch.
Completely baffled at the Pritchard substitution too. In countless games we've struggled to break down a back three or teams parking the bus because we've lacked craft and guile so in that precise situation we bring him off early in favour of.. Quaner? Not to mention the fact that it weakened our set piece options in a match that could easily have been decided by one. Subsequently sending a corner straight out of play was the icing on the cake.
Credit Swansea for how well they defended but I feel like we did an awful lot to help them out so it's tough not to be incredibly frustrated with the result.

Obviously our main objective was not to lose, but Swansea never had one shot on or off target. Frustrating but it's a point gained on 4 teams, so far.

Trevor Brooking is the inside boy at the FA protecting West Ham so no points deduction coming. Carlos boring bastard Carvallio does it again. I like the guy but fuck me he is a negative twat. The way to look at it is it is a very good point if Town can maintain the 1 point average over the next 8 games. Swansea are in season 7 in the PL and that's all they could come up with, a Wednesday esk performance. It was embarrassing for them really. The new boys are doing well. Same again for town against palace Newcastle Brighton and 1 win somewhere should do it. I'm still quietly confident. I was also very disappointed to see mooy and Pritchard brought off today, but hey ho, it's squeaky bum time and town got a point.
Keep going lads and we'll be OK.

For 79 mins we had an extra man.....where was he . We had one great shot which resulted in a great save. Not good enough Town. We had Tom Ince which sort of evened things up.

Don't know why some people think playing against 10 men automatically means three easy points. Their deficit comes from attack - which doesn't matter if they only want a point - and then put more bodies in the box, closing off all the spaces. The two times they actually got forward were the two times we looked most likely to score because of the space. It was a good performance in tough conditions. Onto the next one.

To not score from all that time spent in attacking territory isn't good enough If it was that simple to keep a team out by packing players behind the ball then we wouldn't have taken so many spankings this season

I’m saying it toungue firmly in cheek but my point is serious, when playing a side so organised and with clear plans, would it not possibly work if you just fucked with their heads even if it’s just for a corner or something? Just something to make them completely bemused and hopefully unsettle them a bit

Swansea well organised when down to 10 men, restricting us mainly to crosses and packing out the box with defensive banks. DePoitre played well when he came on and I feel started to make things happen in the box, should have been on at half time in hindsight. Ah well another point and now above west ham 80 minutes against ten men with most of our possession being static, sideways or backwards.. continually waiting for them to get re back in and re organised.. by the time we put in a cross they had covered the box in red .... they went back the second they went to ten and never came out.. trying to go down the line or through a packed middle proved to be the wrong tactics.. ldp on at half time, if they want to defend their box lets give em at least something else to think about??? not bothered about the time wasting from them, we waste enough time with the ball in play for both teams.. get it wide quickly, get it in quickly.. from every angle that you can get it in from.. support the two big lads.. maybe we cant score unless both holding midfielders have touched it or vlp has not danced about with it before providing nothing The honest truth is we had players who did more running than theirs.. we had players covering more distance to overlap etc whilst they just mooched from side to side and waited, often a very long time, for the poor cross or the blocked cross.. If they aint coming out you have to go in, not in front of, not from side to side.. no panic stricken moments, one good save in 80 minutes.. too many touches, too many pirouettes and not enough direct play.. palace might well come to play, lets hope they dont get the first goal or get someone red carded, de ja vu will strike again.. forget the beautiful game , forget they had ten men and convince yourself its 'harder to play 10 than 11'... too slow and too obvious and too easy to defend against..

Moronic substitution taking off Pritchard for Forest Gump. What the hell goes through Wagner’s head?! It was a surprising substitution, but difficult to slag off if you don't know the reason?

We kept West Brom out with 10 men,we almost kept City out, albeit with 11 behind the ball. If they had kept 11 on, or we had gone in front it would have been a different story. We're not Man City, we need space wide to run into which they denied us the whole game. And don't forget this is a team who have been on a cracking run, including last week's 4-1 tubbing of West Ham. Frustrating? Oh yes,but if Mounie's shot hadn't hit the bar or Ince's header the post...

That was utter cats piss from Town ok we worked hard and dominated possession but our crossing, shooting and decision making in key areas was bloody awful. We had a big chance to cut Southampton and Stoke adrift by winning but in true Town style we blew it. I wish he hadn't have sent Ayew off, it probably would have been easier against 11.
Fair play to Swansea they put in an effective rearguard action and Fabianski dealt everything he thrown at him.
Thought Wagner got his subs wrong too, why take Pritchard off? Why take Mooy off for a holding midfielder? Wagner switched the initiative to Swansea with them two awful subs.
