As i posted last year. These day i wait until the season is six matches in...OK, you generally gets less odds but you can discount half the teams already by then and if you have put Orient in your bet and they are rock-bottom its game over.
Get a little form, wait until things settle...six or seven games in.
If you want to chose league winners at fair prices (not odds-on) then do a Lucky 15 or 31...one winner and treble odds some places...get your money back at least.
Also you have an interest all season long.

Anyone got any decent tips for the coming season for any league? Ive gone for 3 x singles...3 x doubles and a treble on WBA, Burton Albion and Lincoln City to win their respective divisions...as a covering bet I've also thrown Sunderland at 3/1 in to the same instead of Burton...Prices WBA 8/1...Burton Albion 25/1...and Lincoln City 8/1...pays 2106/1 and with Sunderland in pays 324/1  |

A market I really like is the season match bet, so basically one team to finish above another and it provides good value I think.

A small fortune to the 10 Leicester fans that backed them but in real terms of their income, a drop in the ocean but they are making sure they don't pay out them sums again. |
