I will always have a soft spot for him. End of the day, if it wasn't for his cameo, we wouldn't have made it to the promised land

What a strange player he is will do a job in championship easliy. no one can fault his efforts.let's not forget he was our top assist maker last season. Don't know what that says about us though.but never forget that pass at Hillsborough though

Bit of a wild card but never less than 100% effort. Would be a good addition for you guys if it happens. I would have liked to have seen more of him this season but he has dropped down the pecking order.

Started his Championship campaign with lots of criticism but ended it with lots of admiration. Love his work ethic and sure he has more to offer than we have already seen. Look forward to seeing him in the squad.

I would always give 100% with a town shirt on my back, only problem is I am shit as well!

I would always give 100% with a town shirt on my back, only problem is I am shit as well! I Can't decide if some of the posts above are wind ups or being serious In terms of technical ability he must be one of the worst players to have appeared in the Premier League. He struggles to control the ball properly and passing it to a team mate can be a big ask. That said, he's that unable to do what he wants that the opposition have no idea what's coming next and so he does have his useful games when the ball is bouncing in his favour Physically he's probably decent championship standard. On technical ability I would say top end of league one is pushing it

I really like Colin
Always gives 100% and can make things happen even if he looks clumsy doing it!
Quick, strong and direct - will run at his full back
Decent tactical awareness, ie helps the full back and knows where to be positionally
Seems to have a good attitude
Top assist maker last season and picked ahead of very expensive summer signings this year
Not PL quality but a good option in the championship

Happy with a loan, I'm starting to worry about letting go of good championship players. If the worst was to happen we might regret it.

Super Col lacks consistency and a bit of quality. His two strengths are pace, and not having a clue what he is going to do.
He works hard and gives 100%.

If this means he isn't involved today that would be fucking wonderful. We're gonna just fill the bench with defenders, if we have enough. How can you let 3 wingers go before your 2 most important matches of the season when there's no opportunity to replace them in time?
Although Diakhaby might finally make the bench.

Got the Town dvd of last season for Christmas and was surprised just how many of our goals he was involved in - very deceptive.

Got the Town dvd of last season for Christmas and was surprised just how many of our goals he was involved in - very deceptive. He's an intelligent player just looks a bit awkward and gangly. If Pritchard could see and execute the little passes in the box that Quaner regularly makes, we'd be 15th now. There's good body shape with his passing, looks like he's thinking about it...just needs to speed up his decision making a bit to have any kind of impact at this level (which isn't likely to happen). The folk who brand him "League 1 at best" are ludicrous though, he's nowhere near as bad as he's made out to be. If he got anything like a consistent run he'd easily grace any top half Championship team.

Just looked at the championship table for the first time in ages. Just shows how poor a division it is with the filth being top. I was surprised to see Preston in 17th. But if you go down he'd tear league one to bits.

As much a people like to ridicule him he’s always positive with the ball. I don’t think it helped him starting out upfront for us with most people expecting a target man, which he is the total opposite of.

The late, direct run vs soton at home is the best thing any of our wingers has produced combined this season. And Col did it within 2 mins of being on the pitch.

No need to worry about Quaner then as he's shite. Did you think that when he laid on Nahki's goal at Hillsborough? Yeah. I thought that shite player did ok there. Shame it was virtually a one off in his Town career. We can't be making gods of players who are 95% Of the time ineffectual or unable to do even the basics right

I know what you mean but Quaner is worse than many who have played in the same position over those 35 years. He's no Pilkington. He's no Roberts. He's no Crosby. He's no Dunn...etc etc etc. They all at the very least knew what they wanted to do, and quite often achieved it. He is though better than Donis

He is though better than Donis Roberts and Dunn give over As I much I liked both of them neither of those could cut it at championship which is why Roberts was released by Grayson when we were a struggling championship side moving to Swindon (no one decent wanted him I guess) and then chesferfield in the bottom division! When Quaner played a league one team (Rochdale) he scored and was a handful all game He’s a decent option for a championship side Roberts wouldn’t get a kick up against a premier league full back

Could he really be any worse, or more ineffectual than our current so called strikers if we played him through the middle? At least you'd know he was giving it a go no matter how clumsy or awkward he looks. The Collin Quaner of the play offs has got bigger balls than Depoitre in particular. Not that that's saying much at the moment and in particular after that one on one Depoitre virtually gave up on at Old Trafford in the second half when Mbenza ended taking the shot on

Quaner was a Championship signing and was out of his depth in general. He's definitely out of his depth at this level now.
