Saw Billing on Sandbanks beach today, says he wants to return to htafc as he misses Dixon’s ice cream, the Rat & Ratchet, the view from Castle Hill and Rain..... I am thinking about returning to Huddersfield as well. I miss the grease on Cross Church Street, the smell of weed on John William Street and the fat birds fighting outside Wetherspoons.

Not really an accolade you want, bit like winning a Kathy Staff lookalike competition.

Ok, so you picked three good points out of a day in Huddersfield town centre, but there are bad ones as well.

Town had apparently agreed a fee to sell billing to Brighton last summer..
He refused the deal ..
Because he thought Brighton would probably get relegated..
Whoops..
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Whoops.. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 They would have got relegated if he’d joined them. I saw a few of his performances for Bournemouth and he was rarely engaging with the ball, either lacked confidence or couldn’t be bothered. Odd player.

Two years Two clubs Two relegations
An absolute enigma of a player. World class one week, Sunday league the next.
What's next for Philip Billing?

Worked in York for several years , always thought it strange when folk slag off areas saying footballers wouldn’t come because of the town centre etc. York is one of the most beautiful cities in englland but believe me within the ring road there is some proper shit areas and scum bags , just like all cities.

The old first division players used to get double the third division. Now its 500 times more!

For being a premier league footballer for the last three years.. Would you say he's played getting on for 100 games in one of the top three divisions in the world. That's not too shabby.. Remind me again what level you played to?

The team of the year is the best of the relegated players. Ordinarily many of the XI would get picked up by promotion sides or Saints/Sheff U et al. Those on long contracts may not now due to Covid but many will. I wouldn’t be surprised to see a good coach take Billing because there aren’t many players with his skill set and potential to dominate prem games as a he did at the start of the season alongside Lerma. Billing was mom more than once.

Won my bet he would not be in the Prem last August, you never said a word. Two years, two teams, two relegations. Attitude problem, over-rated and no-one is coming in with a big fat offer. Looking like Oti was on the money again.

If you want to claim victory then go for it . The man who was sold for 15 million is currently not playing in the Premier league. You win . How foolish we all feel for laughing at you for saying he'd be sold to Bury

Wrong. Billing won't go further than the championship. Wrong.

How foolish we all feel for laughing at you for saying he'd be sold to Bury For the billionth time...i said he would end up at a club "like Bury". Bournemouth, like Bury who suddenly got a super-rich owner. He is a lower league player, inconsistent. The £3 mill he got paid from Town means he would rather retire and piss around than go down the leagues. You wont see him in a top league ever.....found out like Rhodes and Smithies and all the other supposed next big things at Huddy. In your lifetime name one who cracked it from humble Huddy. Frankie and the Lawman were the last and will stay the last whilst ever we think small. Jake Charles was the one before Billing....think he is at Stafford Rangers. We played against John Obi Mikel at the weekend.....he was the next big thing, a 16 year old prodigy....well some ceiling early, there is no next level. He was valued at £50 million aged 17. A 20 match a season, inconsistent under-achiever. It happens, trust me and get over it....no-one is interested in him and after a 1000 posts about it on here yet again i was correct.
