Yes I'm totally miffed too with the lack of anything from the owner/club since the sleepwalking message other than asking us for cash for season card renewal. I communicate regularly with lots of fans of other clubs through friends, family & colleagues up & down the country. Interestingly many feel that we always come across like we're this poor little club with no money to spend & like we're just happy to be here surviving and will never be in a position to compete with anyone. People have pointed out though that our owner is far from being poor and is in the top 200 rich list has been for years. Also that yes there are some dodgy owners and some very rich owners, however there are far more good genuine owners who are not as rich as ours who don't have to be lifelong fans either to be decent and want the best for their clubs and infact do also invest in their clubs to help them compete as it helps bring success for all. Just because our owner Is a fan and wealthy businessmen, It does not mean he cannot be criticised ever. Name these owners that are not as rich as ours and had the same club status.

I've often wondered whether we were in for Wilson on loan (Liverpool) - he's better than a lot of ours. And wouldn't it have been better to loan out Holmes for a couple of years to see how he developed; he seems to be doing OK at Derby. Next year he'll be going all out to beat us.

Trying like hell to be as positive as possible, but reading things on here i have visions of us being in a total mess by the end of the season. The problem with reading things on here is you're taking it too seriously, ignore the drivel and chill out.

The club belittled itself at nearly every opportunity. 'The tiny dog' ffs. Fair enough saying we are an underdog against the top 6 but the mantra soon grew old imo. Maybe the players had it coached into them that they aren't good enough and don't belong in the premier league. Who knows.

That's a very well thought out post from Rob. No doubt the usual's will denounce him as a 'happy clapper'.

West Ham v Liverpool Monday...just helping a pal....£65 face value!!! Yrs ago (a long time ago) I worked with a Welsh lad who was keen on Spurs and went to a Monday night game at WHL. I can't remember the exact cost, but it was in the same ball park as you mention & back then it just amazed me that people would part with that sort of money without any guarantee of what was on the other side of the turnstile. We're very fortunate whichever side of the fence you sit... BTW, I'm talking close to 30yrs ago there, think about the comparative cost for a moment... No-one was more than £25 quid face value 30 years ago. It must have been a tout ticket. West Ham are selling cat 3 face value at £65!!! That to me is mind-blowing....my disposable income weekly here in India.

I was positive because I saw positives. Would you kindly give us the positives as I was struggling to see any at all. If you watched the game properly it was obvious that the intent to commit to going forward was there a lot more than it has been for ages.3/4 men in the box at times rather than just the 1. It wasn't there 100% of the time but they've had a week with JS. You can see how much we missed Mooy. his link up play, if a bit rusty, was way above anything we've had.

We basically raised the white flag when we went after Siewert. It'll take him a while to get us going by which time we're already down. As for the Season Ticket Price? £250 quid is bloody good value. We've been down for weeks though really havent we? Three straight home defeats against BHA, Saints and Newcastle. We had to then get two wins at Fulham and Cardiff to even stand a chance. It was over before christmas day in reality.

But Dean doesn’t want to do that.

3 clubs in the prem without billionaire backing (Vincent Tan seems to float in and out depending on who you believe).
Town, Burnley, Watford.
What Burnley have done is remarkable really as by the standards they are two bit millionaires. Watford is a bit different as they have Grenada and Udinese propping them up, all the best players from each club and the scouting network is all geared round Watford cos thats where the money is.
I have no idea how Bournemouth still seem to have people fooled that this is some sort of fairytale. They've spent a net £70m since the summer! On top of a wage bill that they cant support themselves.

What about the other 2. We were supposed to be following Burnleys model. They keep signing young talented players and bringing them though so when they sell rodriqez, or gray or ings or Keane or their England keeper gets injured they have another one coming through. We talk about being humble yet Dyche or Allerdyce style of football to stay up isn’t good enough for us. Bad club management will cost us our place in the premier league but the biggest casualty is the unity the fans had.

Signing young talented players is what we're striving to do surely? Remains to be seen what happens next for us.

That was just about the only one I saw. What were the rest? More emphasis on getting forward, more bodies in the box etc. You were there weren't you? I was, and I saw very little difference. We had 2 shots on target all game, one via a free-kick, despite Everton being poor and down to 10 men for half an hour. We were just as slow, sloppy with the ball and we had 3 centre halves marking no one with 10 to go. We had no movement ahead of the ball all game. I really didn't see much of a difference, if any.

They'll stick around and unite behind the Club wherever we go. The rest of the fellow travellers will go. It's always been thus and always will be.
