We are betwixt and between at the moment.
Are we a PL or Championship club
Are we going to push for an immediate return if we go down
I can see similar problems with recruitment of players in the summer, and player retention for that matter

IF the club is close to being sold then this may be the reason why no-one has been appointed yet really? Presumably to someone from Uzbekistan if the other night is owt to go by 😂 |

This person along with the manager could be trusted with the remaining funds that wernt spent in jan window plus relegation parachute payments
Little or no room for error with this money as it could/will decide the very near future of the club and where we are heading.
Big question is how many chances/advantages will we have in making a proper challenge to come straight back up as that could require big money to be spent on wages for at least two seasons for any retained top level player/s
That could be made even more expensive if other premier league clubs make decent offers for our best players like Mooy and Billing

What’s wrong with a good old fashioned scouting network.
Chief scout identifies targets and sends out the troops to ‘scout’ said player.
Scout gets back and reports findings.
Chief scout reports to Manager.
Buy/ Don’t buy.

What’s wrong with a good old fashioned scouting network. Chief scout identifies targets and sends out the troops to ‘scout’ said player. Scout gets back and reports findings. Chief scout reports to Manager. Buy/ Don’t buy. DOF my bloody arse. Sabre I and my hubby could not agree more with that post .DOF just no need if scouting system is thorough . Its weird how folk say "whats wrong with just a chief scout, like int old days". Its like saying why have CEOs in a company when you already have managers.
its funny how all these superbly run clubs, many of whom dont have the riches of english clubs, dont take the advice of datm and save a few quid abandoning this DoF fantasy.

I can see the word 'nonce'.... Jesus, Nixon is a complete arse, a broken clock is right twice a day. Interestingly though apparently our remaining head scout bloke is very much interweb only in his approach. Since Rebbe left I think he's been playing footy manager on the PC and looking at clips on youtube. Last summers recruitment might look positively brilliant in comparison to this one. If he finds the next Tonton Zola Moukoko then he will do for me. |
