If we sell Mooy am I correct in thinking Man City have a huge sell on clause ? Think they have first option at a set price, no doubt they will have a sell on clause too.

If Mooy went for 20m then fair enough. Would hate to see him wasted at city though

If Mooy went for 20m then fair enough. Would hate to see him wasted at city though I don;t think it would. My reading of the Mooy contract (from what has been in the public arena) City had first option to buy Mooy back at a guaranteed price of £20M. I guess.presume city have a sell-on clause if we sold Mooy to a different club. my total guess going by Dan other deals is that it would be something like 25% of anything above the £10M we paid for him. I am tarting to feel him might be staying around but maybe that is just sheer hope&optimism

I don’t know which club it is that will want to offer £10m+ for a player who will be 29 early next season who has shown he’s not really quite good enough to be a game changer in the EPL, and has had a pretty anonymous season all things considered. Good luck to him if he goes, but think he could be rejuvenated in the Championship next season and potentially end up with bigger doors opening for him next January.

If we can keep him it would be great.

I’m led to believe that Man City had a buy back clause for last pre season only and didn’t excercise that option in the summer of 2018 so that is now not an option for them to buy back. Not sure about a sell on clause though.

He might be our best player but he didnt do anything this past season to suggest a club would come and pay over 20 million for him.
Season before yes - but this past one? Not many goals, hardly any assists.
Reminds me of the Shelvey situation - lots of talk about how great he is but no bids came in and he ended up staying.
Who in the Prem is buying Mooy ? Maybe a club going up? But I doubt they want to spend over 20 million a player just relegated no matter how good he is.
