I really shouldn't find this thread funny on waccoe but a cruel part of me finds it hilarious. I know I should be better than this but: www.waccoe.com/topic/302792-how-did-your-kids-react-last-night/Classics such as this: "My fifteen year old cried himself to sleep (eventually). He was heartbroken. His first game was in the -15 season. He knows deep down what sort of club we are by now. But didn’t stop him sobbing “why do Leeds always fuck it up for everyone” again and again. FWIW he’s a huge lad, hard as nails, plays rugby, American football, and is a really quite nasty centre back on the football pitch. But this hit him harder than anything I’ve ever seen before. Probably the first time in ten years I’ve seen him cry."

"Gave my from last night to my 4 year old son this morning. He was really happy with it. He asked me if Leeds had won and had to tell him no and Leeds won’t be going to Wembley. He told me he’d heard of Wembley from his Grandad and started singing Spurs are on their way to Wembley. Wanted to kick both their fucking heads in. Had to leave for work after that. Didn’t want to be in the same room as him. "

"My son is 10 years old and is the only kid in his school year of 120 pupils that supports Leeds. We travel from Dublin for about 5/6 games a season but we didn’t come over for last nights game because of the one ticket per member limit.
When the final whistle blew he burst into tears and cried non stop until he fell asleep almost two hours later. I felt utterly shit about it and unbelievably guilty for putting him through this. By the way, he’s not one of these whiny, soft kids, far from it. "

"Watched on box. Let my 8 yo stay up. At end he burst into tears for 30mins. Cried himself to sleep." Well at least this one didn’t feel the need to add how hard or nasty the lad is at the end.

"No tears from my 9 year old son, just anger...after they scored their 4th he stormed off to his bedroom shouting "I'm not supporting this stupid team anymore" he hadn't changed his mind this morning..." Well, at least this young lad has some sense about him. Hes grieved his losses and now needs to move on and stop living his life in a bin on a Saturday, he knows hes better than that and has learned something.

My nephew has a soft spot for Arsenal. I consider it like measles....kids have to catch shit. Were he a L**ds fan i would consider it like leprosy and stay away from him.

To an entire generation of football fan Leeds are nothing but a lower league club. The memory of Premier League fades fast.
When the older fan talks of Leeds being a big club, amongst the elite, the kid from Leeds born and bred, in his Man Utd shirt, is looking at the older fan like he is deranged.
Beyond that I couldn't give a toss about Leeds. 6 points for us next season. Their cup final. Twice.

It’s hilarious and a wonder some of them could drag their knuckles off the floor to type some of those anecdotes. There should be a standard WACCOE disclaimer for posts on that thread: “Our Billy were sobbing his little granite heart out, but he int a bloody poof, alright? Does tha want some, eh? Eh?!”

Sean Jarvis needs to get registered, he’d soon sell the last trickle of season tickets to this otherwise untapped market! FWIW, you’d think even their young fans would be used to failing in the play offs by now!?

Sent from my SM-G920F using proboards To be fair one of my mates was sobbing after the Old Trafford fiasco, which was understandable. I did not start sobbing after that game although I was nearly tripping up over my bottom lip, and we were both in our 50s.
