Let me state at the beginning all progress is never linear, a diagonal straight line going up. No matter what profession there are always jumps forward, stagnation, steps back then second leaps forward. The old saying 2 steps forward 1 back.
So the graduates who will make the bulk of the EDT /U23 team I am not going to make any long term predictions as people can surprise in their development.
Rarmani Edmonds-Green - I rate this lad very highly on potential. A ball playing centreback with good physical presence. I see him as being an understudy to our main CB's and will soon be featuring on the bench. He was named 'Defender of the Tournament' as Town finished fourth in the U19 Champions Trophy, held in Düsseldorf during April 2018. Very promising.
Olly Dyson: I've just not noticed him enough in U19s/EDT games. Who knows what he might show/develop during this year. I think it is a cheap gamble for Town.
Ben Jackson: I have been impressed when I have seen him as an attacking fullback or in the centre midfield. Closest thing is he looks a bit like Jack Hunt looked like in the development teams.
Luke Mewit: I can't recollect anything jumping out in my mind about the lad.
Micah Obiero: Seems to be quite a powerful striker, the question is will work rate turn into goals? Somehow reminds me of Lucas Adkins or more recently Rekeil Pyke. Good strikers who just don't covert/ get into the right places.
Dom Tear: His time in Northern Ireland seems to have helped to step his development up. Attacking midfielder playing any of the 3 positions behind a striker in a 4231 or a wide position or 8 position in a 433. Potential and will be interesting to see how he develops
Oran Thompson: I've seen bits of him in the 19s/EDT as a fullback and also as a DCM. Difficult to make a judgement but has talent. Lets see what happens over the next year.
I can see Jaden Brown, Demeaco Duhaney, Rarami Edmonds-Green, Matty Daley, Lewis O'Brien, Rekeil Pyke (if not sold to lg1/lg2 team) and Aaron Rowe to be training with the first team and pushing to make the game day team.
Below this in the U17's , two to watch out for is Josh Austerfield and Kian Harratt who has scored a shed-load of goals this season for U17s, U19s, EDT.

Interesting that you've not seen much to make Dyson stand out.
Isn't he the one who went on loan to Barrow in the Conference national, so a higher level than most of the younger ones seem to get sent to, and made a great impression before getting injured?

Micah Obiero - is he a powerful striker or is he like Lucas Atkins? My memory of Lucas Atkins is that he was bloody powder puff.

Yes quite possibly. I can only go by what I have seen in person and I just don't remember noticing him in tye games I watched. It's more me saying I don't have an opinion on him, rather than whether he seems talented or not.
