As the season developed Billing, on here, went up from £2 million to £25 million....even £50 million was mentioned. It is laughable...he will have a non-career and do zip. Some idiot will come along and buy him for £10 million next month...thats a gimme. That does not mean he has made it. You took your time getting here...

They haven't got 50 quid let alone £50m

So come the leaving of Phil neither Oti or the Prince of Berks will admit they were wrong 🤔 😂

My view is well known. Not time to crow...that will come. Even a broken watch is right twice a day... He is either going to have a sterling career or not. I may start the "Phil Billing fan club".... and sell wigs, stinking badges, sleeping tablets and hammocks. If he fails i look good, if he comes good i make money

Hes 22 and already had a vastly better career than you said he would.
The only thing to decide now is just how wrong you are...either very wrong, or off the scale wrong.

I go for the latter but as he will have left my club its no longer important..

Driving down to the stadium yesterday to buy my cut price Premiership shirt I noticed lots of activity around the main entrance and somebody said it was all the top 6 premiership clubs coming to look at a video of Billing our £20 million man. I understand the video showed clips of his Ball Control, Shooting skills and his main asset which is the will to win,and to never give up on any cause. Anyway I did my shopping and just as I was walking past the front entrance I got knocked over by a stampede of the top 6 managers rushing out of the building. Whilst it is apparent that Billing is not the Hot property everyone said he was on here just a few months ago. I think we will be lucky if we get £20m for everyone who leaves following the decision not to play certain players at the end of last season we must have reduced all the players values by at least 50% doing this. I hope you’ve recovered from being knocked over.

We have done very very well in getting £15m for Billing I would not have paid more than £2m but I was wrong and Mr Howe must think he is buying potential. Though in my opinion potential is like goodwill in the sale of a business worth nothing.I hope he does well and I will say it again I was wrong for now.

I'm glad he's gone, let's hope we can plow the money back in to the squad. Although it's interesting to note that no one has really appeared interested in buying Billing either no one rates him or no one aside from Bournemouth were willing to match our valuation. I wouldn't be surprised it's a bit of both in all fairness.

If Billing is sold for 15m , or even 10 , or 7, or ,5 , or 4 , or 3. Then Readingterrier is wrong. Not for now but forever , always . Which makes us smile Ben ;-)

In my opinion he will never make it at the top level

But he still went for 15m.. so you (And otium) spectacularly underestimated his market value . For what it's worth my opinion is IF he has his head screwed on he is easily premier league class. He was our best player for 6 weeks or so last season and outshone more valuable adversaries.. Then for whatever reason (And the club would have you believe bad attitude and who am I to think otherwise ) he turned poor. So it's up to him really. He can comfortably be good enough for the big league.. Or melt away into obscurity a rich but unfulfilled man .. it's happening more and more in football .. But I would ask you this .. in the last 30 years how many of our players have signed for a top flight club from town ? 1, 3, 5 ,? I'd reckon certainly not more than 5.. so all them players who haven't been good enough for the prem that you've watched week in week out yet not slagged off mercilessly.. yet you slag this lad off ? It's embarrassing really .. He cost us next to nowt and we get rich off him.. happy days thanks for the memories Phil.

At what point in his future career would you come on here saying you were right? He's played in the Championship and won promotion. He's played 2 seasons in the Premier League and in certain parts of his game (not his whole game) has been statistically one of the best in it. He got voted as the best player at the club but his fellow players. He's being bought by another club in the Premiership with a contract that will no doubt if he's sensible set him up for life.

What MEMORIES it’s this type of happy clapper posting that makes people think he is better than he is. I don’t ever remember walking away from a game he has played thinking wow, quite the reverse in my opinion, and that includes at CHELSEA in our first season

Oti's playing the long game. He will be back in 10 years time, when a 32 year old Billing makes a final move to some obscure Danish side for a nominal fee before hanging up his boots, to say 'I told you so' ;-)
