I hope Benin's hopes don't rest on Steve Mounie or they could be over pretty quickly.

Maybe in a different environment he'll have a great tournament, get his confidence back and return to us ready to tear up the Championship (or at least up his transfer value a bit)?
No harm in hoping, I guess.

Yes but that doesn't alter the DATM fact that he's crap and can't score 😉 With all due respect to Mounie and Benin, what standard are these teams they have to play in qualifing fixtures? Mounie seems a decent enough chap but whoever it was who suggested physcological help for him, with regards to scoring goals is right. He's like a lost boy. Best performance was his debut, he looked red hot that day. Theres a good player in there somewhere but he hasn't shown it for a long time. West Ham away this season, he might as well not bothered coming on. |

Mounie seems a decent enough chap but whoever it was who suggested physcological help for him, with regards to scoring goals is right. He's like a lost boy. West Ham away this season, he might as well not bothered coming on. we 'required' a fighter and a chaser last season up front.. Its not his game but the fact is he never looked like even trying it.. wrong bloke in the wrong team in the wrong circumstances.. A very hard season to gauge the 'abilities' of anyone in relation to a championship campaign..Hogg/Mooy and Schindler have done it before to a good consistent standard...Grant looks as though he could get much better in better circumstances.. If we could keep those 4 and maybe Kongolo then we have a spine to build from.. |
