Why would he leave Leeds? Why would he join Town if so? Why would Town be paying the money he's worth on another attacker when we have no senior left back, and inadequate cover in every position apart from the front three? Apart from this thread being tedious at best, we don’t have to sign players in order of position. If we need a left back it doesn’t mean our first signing has to be a left back. We are allowed to sign other positions. I'm not saying we should, that's ridiculous. My point was that we have completely adequate cover for the front 3, so it would be the position I'd least expect there to be a new signing, and one that'd have the least effect on the squad.

Fair do’s. When you say adequate cover for the front 3, bearing in mind there may be times we play 2 up top, who is the adequate cover?

1. Because they play in a skip. 2. Because we're the greatest team in football the world has ever seen. 3. Because you don't always get the highest priority deal over the line first, and we don't know who else is leaving. I'd also suggest that in Kongolo & Hadergjonaj we have 2 players who are recognised as LBs. OK, we don;t know that either of them are staying & even if they are, they may be used in positions other than LB. I'm not too unhappy with our RB or central midfield options. Not sure our cover up front is adequate either - Grant & Mounie, but then you're looking at Kachunga or Quaner who are both better on the wing. That said, I think it's a load of bollocks. Hadergjonaj is a right back. Allegedly.

Can't remember him playing left back not really a position for a right footed player we will need a natural left back all the same. I seem to recall him being used there in our 1st season but I'm beginning to doubt myself now. Either way, fair point - we do need a LB. Especially if Kongolo leaves or is used at CB. Jaden Brown may be great one day but not getting in the side at Exeter to being relied upon for a promotion challenge may be a stretch. He definitely ended up at LB at home to Chelsea cos he put the cross in that Big Lolo scored from

Assuming it's a Grant and Mounie front 2, the cover would be Diakhaby, Quaner and Kachunga. With the above plus Mbenza, Pritchard, and van la Parra if we play 4-3-3. Wouldn't surprise me if some of the above leave, but the more obvious candidates to leave in the summer are all in other positions. I imagine we'll see some more of the academy players too, given Jan's record so far.

Can see this happening. Bigger club, better wages and wouldn't have to move house.

its. That one annoys me, sorry. Oh dear. No 'It's' is correct - ie. 'It is not the city's fault.' Its is only used when used as a possessive - eg. 'Use the word in its proper context.' At least that was the rule when I was at school, admittedly a long time ago.

Still doesn’t get away from it being a total and utter twonkish response though, this isn’t a primary school English lesson...I wonder if grammar police type people go around correcting the spoken English of people they don’t know. Well, I don’t wonder obviously, because there would be a lot of very highly strung people in A&E with broken noses 🤷♂️🤣

Post normally like you can and people will take you a bit seriously, carry on amd I think your time in here is limited

My faux outrage was more aimed at Stewpot who made the initial citizens grammatical arrest to be honest 😉 I do quite like the grammar police being brought to justice so I laud your post, even though it was wrong and it sent me into associate membership of the self appointed guardians of the English language by correcting you 🤣🤷♂️
