Safe journey to all the fans making the trip to Doncaster for this evenings match. I will be around if you need any assistance, help or if you have any questions. Does the Newcastle Brown come with a glass?

Theres been some strange lineups in these games. Are they really worth paying to watch.

Just a gash team cobbled together to give players some game time. Hopefully we can remember that on here tonight and not go into full drama queen meltdown mode if we get beaten or don’t play particularly well.

Quaner and Kachunga up top?
Jaden Brown maybe right wing and VLP on the left?
That’s how I’d see it possibly
This could be a plan B or C format. Can’t moan and play the same team every week in a friendly, it’s what they are for. To try formations that could be used in pressure situations come the season, see how it works and if it works.

Anyone would think the leagues started. This is why friendly games are played. To piss about, tinker with plan B,C etc and see what does and doesn’t work. Can’t please some though.

I think Jan already knows His starting 11 and is now giving squad players the opportunity to show their worth!

My guess: Grabara Bacuna, Stankovic, Edmonds-Green, J Brown VLP, R Brown, Daly Rowe, Quaner, Kachunga
1. Bacuna has played RB and due to fullback depth may play some there. 2. VLP could move into the midfield since we have a gluttony of wingers. 3. I wish they'd just post the formation when they announce the team.

Looks more like 442. Maybe that was what Jan wanted to try behind closed doors against Coventry?

4.3.3 I reckon, could be Kachunga or Quaner centre forward. Grabara Rowe, Stankovic, Edmonds Green, J. Brown, Bacuna, Daly, R. Brown Kachunga, Quaner, RVLP

I thought we were a couple of games light in pre season to start with
Fine to mix & match and get minutes into the legs but I expected a first XI tonight
How many more games do have?
I also still think we’re an established centre mid light if we want to play 3 in there.

Will it be another team 2nd half? We have only 5 subs I think, so unless it’s 5 a side, I doubt it pal

No Grant and mooy. Theres been some strange lineups in these games. Are they really worth paying to watch. Which is what I've always said - these matches are only designed for managers to give players games, see who can play where and to practise various formations. They also usually come with 100% change-overs either at HT or throughout the game. They really aren't for the supporters and I have no idea why anybody would pay to watch one of these games.
