I take it the OP lives in Halifax where technology and the internet has not yet arrived.
Indeed, So much so that they still have a Town centre to go shopping in, Pubs to sup in, And a nice Town centre to boot, Its a shame areas around the Town centre are no go areas before Dark, Alas.

Okay you lot of nearly all nice guys where in the AlnWick area is there a pub showing the game x Tried to delay departure by a day but couldn't manage it 😠 I know Alnwick. Pub opposite the White Swan Hotel always shows the games. Thanks for that I know which one you mean .So that is where we will be .😁 |

I work in Halifax a few days a week and despite the average local lacking a few teeth, I would say the town centre is better than Huddersfield. |

Arrived home to prepare for kick off next Saturday .Found out whilst away that game changed to Monday !!! which means we miss the first live game as we set off again on the 5th and too late to alter arrangements. So we will be dumping cases and off straight out seeking a pub with coverage of the game . Fingers crossed we find one . The game has always been on the 5th since the original announcement of fixtures, so has never been changed. |

I work in Halifax a few days a week and despite the average local lacking a few teeth, I would say the town centre is better than Huddersfield. Is it hell, there is nothing there. It's small compact but it has very few high street stores where one can buy essentials. I mean where do people buy clothes in Halifax? The anchor store of Halifax town centre is Heron Foods. Granted it has Harvey's but what else is there? Nowt. |

I to my knowledge have met only about 8 other DATM members . it's not like it was,everyone used to have a beer together,,some great lads n lasses from Datm, posters like Moaner, Otium,Mayorofcov,(even nickhudd😂) Kosi,loads have packed it in now though I think over all the years I have been a member of this forum I have probably met about 40 .I have even met the ASW once ( once was sufficient ) Sadly the forum is now where near as good as it used to be and probably as I get older it becoming a place no to be for me. I think I will now be mainly a lurker rather than a poster . Too much arguing ,back biting and unnecessary unpleasantness these days . Not deleting as that would be petulant and I may just may wish to contribute sometime. Hope we have a good season this year and enjoy our football once again . Regards to all the folk I have encountered over the years x |

All social media platforms lose their shine after a while and DATM is probably no different - new posters probably think it's great, old posters remember the good old days with rose tinted glasses.
The thing is, from what others tell me , the alternatives to DATM -twitter and facebook seem even worse.
