This has been a problem for years. Sorry about the language but there is some truly cuntish driving around the stadium, usually after the final whistle when thousands are walking around. I've seen loads of confrontations and near misses.
The solution is simple. Pedestrianise the roads around the stadium until 20 minutes or so after the final whistle.

At 'speed' is everything above not moving. Were people walking in the road as usual, assuming entitlement to block traffic? What was actually dangerous?

Pretty sure there is a bylaw in place making traffic movement in the car parks etc an offence for 15 mins after final whistle...there used to be a sign up but I can’t remember where.

There should be no vehicles going anywhere until pedestrians have cleared the area, end of.
Disaster waiting to happen.

You'll be surprised to hear I totally agree with that law, but people got wet. Was it raining or did anyone get injured?

Well, you learn something new every day. You'll be surprised to hear I totally agree with that law, but people got wet. Was it raining or did anyone get injured? Why did anyone need to get injured?? To intentionally drive a car at a kerb side puddle to splash people is an utter knobs trick and should definitely be clamped down on, if that’s what occurred. It’s akin to the kind of disrespectful shitty behaviour that people who throw cups of beer about in a crowd do....the action of a cowardly idiot. When you’re driving in conditions like we’ve had today it’s easy to spot and avoid covering pedestrians in a few buckets full of muddy water.

Steve, he's right though. Driving at speed to splash pedestrians is both idiotic and illegal. On a broader note, there are extremely dangerous games of chicken being played out on the roads around the stadium after every game. Yes, folk do wander on the roads or cross in front of traffic but more worryingly, there is a propensity nowadays for some motorists to hit the pedal and drive at speed towards people. It is almost inevitable that someone is going to get seriously injured or killed. We all know the sensible solution but I fear that we will need a serious incident before there is any intervention.

I will say it again, for the last time, I agree with the law! However, where are the facts in the ops claim? 'Speed' is everything above stationary? He didn't mount the kerb! He has been released from the local asylum! People got wet is his worst fact! When you get home do you post a rant on the internet? When a bloke nearly ran me over on a garage forecourt and swore at me for being in has way did I rant, or just be grateful that I jumped out of the way despite being a disabled 65 year old. Life eh, people deal with it differently.

The OP was an eyewitness. He saw it and I believe him because that kind of behaviour is now commonplace.
