www.htafc.com/news/2019/july/west-brom-game-picked-for-tv/I don't know what's changed since July 8th when the September games were picked by Sky. Nice of them to decide 3 weeks later that they're going to move another game. Relieved now that I hadn't already booked train tickets, but I'm guessing some of you already will have done.

Town have the usual inaccuracy on the website saying it's 'the only Town live broadcast pick between 7th - 28th September'. We are on at home the week before aren't we v Massive ?

In our promotion season, it took us till the 2nd February to be on TV 4 times, we've done it in 6 weeks this time around. Another successful season and we could be on twice a month at this rate. At least it's an away game.

Suits me - I couldn't go on the Saturday because of a university visit.
Appreciate it could be a pain for others though.

Away that weekend but have contacted Sky and asked them to shift the game to tea time so I can get there. Given the amount of fucking about with fixtures I don't think it's too much to ask.?💰💰💰

I don't think we will go straight back up, nor do I want us to.

In 2016/17 from February onwards we were on TV about twice a month, including FA Cup and Playoffs. The same this season then we would be on twice a month all season (similar to our West Yorkshire neighbours) The Premier League is a different thing, i would expect us to be back down to slim pickings again if promoted.

There are only 3 trains that get you there in time for kick from Huddersfield 7.07am, 7.16am or 8.28am.

Overseas Town fans get to see the QPR away game live too, as it has been chosen as the 3pm Saturday International broadcast - I guess it means plenty of streams available for those in the UK unable to make the trip.

That's worked out quite well for me. I planned on going but when the fixtures were out I saw that I was on holiday. Now I can watch it on Sky from Spain.

I understand your point but I could never do that.

I never go to a game wanting us to lose. I just don't see how we're ready to go back up and be anything other than a team that loses every week like we did last season. If we got to the play-off final, or went into the last game of the regular season, knowing a win would send us up, I wouldn't be sad if we won but it would worry me greatly what it would lead to. I'd be content if we spent the next 3/4 years being a consistent top 10/12 team with fleeting hopes of going up but not quite making it.

Going by the other thread, someone should get in touch with KSNE and pass on the news. Might also tell her that the reason we’re playing WBA is not because they got promoted.

I'd be content if we spent the next 3/4 years being a consistent top 10/12 team with fleeting hopes of going up but not quite making it. We'd be in a much better position if we went straight back up now as we'd already have 3-4 premier league quality players in the squad, (assuming they're still here) we didn't have any last time we were promoted, unless you count Schindler which was unknown if he'd cut that level. Add another 3-4 next time and the majority of your starting 11 are then decent.

Quite happy now that our opening game v Derby. is sorted out .Alnwick will see cheering on the lads on x
