If I was asked why I don’t like the general public I’d point them to this thread. I don’t mean specifically the original post but the thread as a whole.

Over here in Horwich we have litter picks every month where a group of us go out and hit a pick an area of the Town after which a council vehicle comes round and pick up the bags. Does this happen in Huddersfield? Even better if some town players got involved. On the note of players putting in their extra bit, I wonder how it is that Zanka has gone from what he did at Southampton away season before last to wanting to get out? Apologies if it has already been discussed. Hopefully tomorrow's council meeting will not be a long one so I can watch most of match in the pub. Thank you Sky for making it clash, otherwise I would have been over.

(At the risk of a ban, but frankly who would miss me) Dear gledz86. Please, F**k off. F**k right off. F**k right off now. F**k right off now, delete your account and don't come back. Thank you. (because saying please and thank you is polite) No one, you're right. The original poster has a point, you wouldn't leave you're own garden in such a state so why would the stadium be so neglected. The council are just as bad Huddersfield has weeds and unkempt verges galore. It's been that way for a few years now, the council had to impose cuts in order to maintain essential services. Not going to get into a political discussion but the blame falls on government cuts in funding.

I've recently noticed that the areas surrounding the stadium and car parks are very untidy. Beds full of weeds, shrubs and hedges uncut and wild, hard standing areas eg carparks, paths etc full of weeds. Who maintains the grounds around the stadium, and how often do they perform grounds maintenance to the stadium grounds. From memory the stadium used to be always well kept and maintained. We've got a fantastic stadium, but sadly the grounds don't match the stadium quality. I remember Going for a piss at the old ground as a kid having to navigate what seemed like hundreds of wet slippery steps, then wading through a tide off piss and weeds up to my arm pits...that was something to moan about! I miss that place.

I Agree, First impressions and all that,,, Has to be KSDLs job, Or is it the councils ?
In an ideal world we would have 4 lads who can trim bushes, spray weeds, Use a yard brush, Pick litter, do a bit of painting and can fix a few hundred square yards of uneven block paving, And do it all with a smile.
If there is a job going for £360 take home a week, Do a few weekends, but always get to the match, Am your man Phil. Back in Big Frank's day the apprentices would be doing these sort of jobs (listen about 3 mins into this). We've more than enough pampered lads in the academy who could do a bit of tidying up. Pure gold, Frank. What a player, what a star!

I remember the days of symmetrical hedges & pretty plants in the car park with a pitch I'd have been ashamed to plant potatoes in. How times have changed. And the water features in the East Terrace car park were the envy of other clubs!

Quite a few people have mentioned in the last few months about the state of the grass verges and pavements and all the litter there is about and when you take time to notice these thing's, the place is an absolute shit hole. I just come back from the South Of France and the place is spotless. I was unfortunate to be in the car park where Lidl ect is in Heckmonwike it's appalling, dozens of cartons with half eaten food strewn all over with empty cans and bottles, receipts, broken glass all over. I noticed last season just how poor the stadium was looking, infact i think the whole country is turning in to a shit hole.

People have no respect for their surroundings or public spaces and there are no repercussions for littering. I would make it an immediate minimum £100 fine.

I remember a visit to Germany over 30 years ago and being impressed with how clean the streets were in all areas. Meanwhile not long ago over here, a Mount taxi driver throws an empty coca cola tin out of his driver window.....I returned it to his office.

I was behind a car at Waterloo retail park and the lad in front threw out of his car, on to the road, all his McDonald’s rubbish, I mean everything, brown bag, cup, the lot. The still cameras in there are quick to catch a car that has overstayed for 10 minutes but a live camera would have caught this clown.

I have a discrete dash cam now, pity I didn't have it at the time of the coke tin incident. Came in useful a few weeks back when in a hospital car park, having scraped my car whilst trying to park alongside me the 'lady' moved further up the line. To add insult to injury she did a Fawlty Towers and whacked the side of my car with her fist on the way into the hospital. My insurance company delighted with the footage and sound.
