That potless wanker probably made no effort to keep VLP, probably could offer him no assurance that although things are at the minute bleak, they will get better. Instead he turns it round on the player saying he doesn't want to play for the club. An easy statement for the chairman to make to deflect blame and turn the attention from his own failings, but guess what, nobody is buying it.

The chairman doesn't know football or running a sports club, hes obviously not a people person and I doubt he will ever get folk pulling in the same direction.
Season tickets £500 next year and 8000 fans. Talk about boom and bust, the last 6 weeks will take 20+ years to recover from.

Excellent news - brightened up a miserable day, football wise.
We can all argue about whether he's a good or bad player but I don't really think any one will assert that he's given much to the club/any club in the last two years, except some disruptive and unprofessional social media comments. Certainly no evidence of him being fully committed to Town.
Longer term, perhaps a bit more money for our new manager to use in January.

Us as fans need to voice it, so it actually gets heard, we pay the money for our tickets home and away, most live on minimum wages and budget for our club, we deserve better.

Played right into Potless’s hands.
What did he do to keep him?
Doesn’t need much of an excuse to get rid of another wage and bring in yet more transfer funds.
Confirms what a lot of us think re the clubs finances and agenda.
Getting rid of our best winger when we are desperate for points with no replacement - following getting rid of our controlling midfield player (Mooy) with no adequate replacement.
We chucked away our PL place and now we are doing the same with our Championship status.
For me, the memories of our wonderful couple of seasons are now tarnished forever.
Potless and the Board now deserve all the flak they receive.

No evidence for this whatsoever - other than rumours - but might it be that the mood and morale amongst the players might now pick up. The uncomplimentary things said at Middlesboro and the several tweets attacking the management of our club suggests perhaps that he wasn't the world's best team manwith a positive attitude.
