It is really, really weird. I imagine RSB were playing silly buggers trying to get him for peanuts so we told them to do one and played VLP rather than negotiating with jokers. They then decided to make a serious offer of the amount WE wanted which happened to be during the game. But it’s a lot easier for everyone to slate Phil rather than reflect on what an impossible situation he has taken on Million quid ain't a serious offer today though is it??

Good riddance, all this bollocks about him being the best winger at the club? What the fuck are people watching, he’s a fucking show pony with no end product. Timing is a bit shit, but what the fuxk was Phil doing, letting someone who didn’t want to be at the club leave... poor Phil, damned if you do, damned if you don’t.. a typical DATM reaction.. So you believe the explanation then... that we had an offer for a player during a game, told him about it and completed the transfer 3 hours later. Do you seriously think that VLP (via his agents) had no clue that Red Star might be interested in him beforee he walked out on to the pitch at 3pm yesterday?

Bit annoying that he's gone and we can't replace him but on the other hand atleast we don't have to endure another performance like the one yesterday which have been just as frequent as his good displays during his time here. Failing to beat the full back, throwing himself on the floor, dribbling nowhere when a simple pass could create an opportunity, rubbish cross after rubbish cross, badly weighted passes for our overlapping full back. I could go on It does make you wonder how many more are still here who don't want to be. As a conservative guess I'd say: Kongolo Schindler Flo Bacuna Diakhaby Mbenza Mounie Not a good position to be in when you're fighting relegation and need everyone pulling in the same direction. I think that is a very conservative list. How long before Liverpool & Chelsea decide Grabara & Chalobah (probably our two best players this season) would be gaining better experience away from this comedy show? It happened with Izzy Brown when he moved from Rotherham to Town.

The issue isn't about whether vlp was good enough or not to be playing for us. The issue is why has Hudson brought him back into the team if he wanted out? It makes Hudson look like a fool and supporters have a right to challenge this shambles. The supporters are definitely not part of the problem.

Might be way off the mark here. If Danny Cowley is in the running for Manager, I’ve seen it mentioned there is a hefty compensation of over £1m. I wonder if the sale of VLP has a similar amount coming in and DC will be announced as a result? If that is the case then we clearly have no ‘war chest’ for January!

A lot of 'fans' have been having a go at VLP for ages, so why the outrage..?.you wanted him out, you might even have driven him out...now he's gone and you shout unfair ! Hypocracy alive and well on DATM. Next up maybe Phil will pack it in too, if he reads the stuff on DATM why would he bother ? We are becoming a poisoned club and the next question/ outrage will be why we can't get a top manager in...because who would want to come here ? It's about time 'some' of you reigned it in a bit because you are becoming part of the problem... imo. I like him, but forget that for a second. Everybody wants out, we haven't won in a long time and the place must be miserable. Lowe, Wagner, Smith wanted out, not just Zanka, Billing, VLP. We don't have a better replacement and the window is closed. We don't have a manager to make this decision. Fully expect Mounie to be sold today now. He hasn't played a big part this season, but would you be OK with that? No I wouldn't, but my disappointment wouldn't descend into a full blown rant at everyone and anyone at the club...Even Dean seems to be getting stick now...it's the manner of the vitriol that is unacceptable...even abusive.

"Huddersfield Town Chairman Phil Hodgkinson commented: “We received the offer for Rajiv during the Luton Town game and both him and his representatives made it very clear that he didn’t want to be a Huddersfield Town player anymore. “The Club always has to come first and it’s important that the players in our squad are fully committed to the cause. I want players who want to play for this Football Club and its fantastic supporters; they deserve that.
“The offer meets our valuation and the player gets the move he was pushing for.” Do you know what I think our fantastic supporters deserve Phil? Some sort of an explanation at what the f*** is going on.

You know what, I’m fucking furious at VLP. He got amazing reception from the fans, sang his name when he was on the bench after the whole instagram debacle. I’m beginning to realise that Siewart had an impossible job and some of these footballers in the dressing room were toxic, he had no chance. Poor guy. After all the support we gave him, he does this to us. Fuck him, the blokes a disloyal, unprofessional twat and it just shows how hard it is to manage modern footballers these days. I don’t blame Phil for this, no point keeping a guy that doesn’t want to be here. And how do we know he wanted to leave ? From a statement by someone who's lied about everything since he took over

Surely negotiations of a player moving to bloody Belgrade not Bradford take a bit longer than a few hours when first contact was made at 4pm which would of been 5pm there time. Then announcing it in the middle of the night. Very odd goings on at the minute. Big Phils setting himself up for a not very pleasant time with his bullshit. You've heard of transfer deadline day right? You know, where loads of footballers move clubs on the last day of the transfer window? Not sure why anyone thinks this is unusual, it takes them no time at all, all the paperwork's done by fax.

The outrage is because 8 hours earlier he was deemed good enough to be in our first 11. £1m?!? That’s about 5% of what we spent on wingers last season.
Also, as he was in the Dutch contingent, what price Kongolo sees what bullshit the club have spouted about his mate and decides he’s had enough too. The precedent is well set: if a player wants to leave we’ll move him on. Schindler, TK, Grant, Mounié, Pritchard...they might all be on the phone to their agents this morning telling them to get them a move anywhere to leave the absolute circus we have become.

Not particularly enjoying life as a football supporter myself right now but IF we head to league one (and there’s a lot of football to play before then) I might be in a minority but I certainly wont be placing anywhere near 100% of the blame at PHils door. Manager appointment and preparation for January transfer window are key to PH now.

PH unwinding a couple of years of awful recruitment and terrible attitudes. Not easy and not pleasant for us all to watch but sadly needs to be done So Mooy was terrible recruitment and had a bad attitude? .....all the rest released without adequate replacement? Smith and Lowe were bad recruits and had bad attitude? Selling players after the point we can replace them is just daft plain and simple. The person managing the team thought he was the best option to play yesterday. Surely that has to indicate we've weakened a team in the midst of a relegation battle for (in today's football terms) f*** all. ......& then you imply you think that is self explanatory action and the logical approach. Cheers Phil.

Sure the playing squad would have been discussed with all the potential new managers, maybe, just maybe, the proposed new manager was happy for him to go. Maybe the proposed new boss plays a completely different system.

1_____________________ PH. Hello MrX, you are about to be announced as our manager next week and you have seen all our players play, yes? MrX. Yep PH. Well we have had an offer for VLP for £1m + add-ons. MrX. Let the fucker go, he'd got no future here under me, anyway. PH. Thanks MrX MrX. No problem boss. See you for the press conference.
2_____________________ To all doubting that a deal can be done in 7 hours, have you never noticed what goes on on transfer deadline day when deals can be done in 7 minutes?

According to the lad who originally contacted me with the belgrade link 30 mins before town announced it its 1m plus 15% sell on clause. The only reason we announced it was because red star already had!! £1m in today’s market... seriously? We’ve paid a quarter of that for a German 4th-8th tier full back whom played the equivalent of Farsley Celtic last season Were we that desperate? This is what I've seen.

All very confusing. If VLP wanted out why were we playing him? The only explanation is that we were using it as part of the negotiation with RSB. So we are definitely putting cash ahead of results. I agree with the need to clear out some of the existing underperforming high earners but that should never overtake our need to win matches.
It’s all either a well planned renovation program or a complete shambles. From the outside it looks like the latter.

To be honest who could blame any player for wanting to leave this shit show if an offer came in, especially if it's for champions league football.
Phil says "The club comes first" and I agree which is exactly why I'd have told VLP no. Get us out of this mess and you can go wherever you want in Jan should have been the response.
If we're unable to sign players then we should only be selling players who are not in our plans or if we receive mind blowing offers. This is neither.
