How about winding the clock back 12 years. Losing to Southend at home in front of 7000 in lg1. No prospects, no atmosphere,no quality, no hope. Fast forward 12 months we've been top of the premier league, broken our transfer record many times over. Record season ticket sales, full houses, highest ever budget for Town side in the championship... Jeez fellas you shouldn't have to work so hard to see positives. most of us were probably there. I can only say that football fans (myself included) are a short minded bunch that only see the here and now.

I am usually an optimist, trying to see the positives etc in any given situation. I am glum as hell at the moment. I think it's a combination of Dean and Wagner leaving, relegation and then the current stewardship of the club worrying the hell out of me. It is a feeling that has only swept over me, really, since Thursday when Aaron Mooy left. So I am looking for reasons to be cheerful. Anything you've got. Hit me... My mate's an Optimist he works at Specsavers...…...

Thing is what we did against Southend 10 year ago in league 1 is completely irrelevant now. Could easily end up back in league 1 playing the likes of Southend and Colchester in front of 10k. Nothing wrong with Southend or Colchester - good, solid Essex clubs - we might even be graced by Chelmsford City one day?!! We are not Bury We are not Bolton We are not Coventry We are not Bradford (P.A. OR City) Last, but by no means least, we are not those deluded thugs up the road! Come on Grimmers, get a grip - I thought you were the one to cheer us all UP?!!

Norwich City. 12 months ago they were all calling for their inexperienced German manager to be sacked. They were all questioning the ambition of their board, having just sold their best players and not reinvested the money in the squad. They started the season with 1 point from first 2 games. One word.... WEBBER. That's not a word it's a name.

I have written the season off. Just hope we don't get sucked into a relegation battle.
Looking forward to next season though; with a lean wage bill, a bumper transfer kitty and a DOF identifying the brightest young prospects from across Europe.
I think/hope this is the actual plan.

For a start I don't think the actual plan is to write this season off. If it is, hello Accrington Stanley.

How can you ever write a season off after gaining promotion with a negative goal difference and not scoring a goal ourselves in 3 play off games? It's football shit happens but so does weird good things.🆗

Perhaps a poor choice of words, I didn't mean it to be so negative.
Consolidate this year, get the squad in shape and really push on next season. A lot of change and disruption going on currently and the 3 window comment takes us to start of next season.

We have 5 new players who haven't started a game yet - Brown, Koroma, Chalobah, Bockhorn and Campbell. Who knows what effect they could have.

Eventually, Seiwert will leave.
That's something.
Whether who comes in is any better remains to be seen. I think we've blown our opportunity to be a PL team and get established there by risking on lightning striking twice though.

Frazer Campbell has signed, a hudders lad who Has eventually signed for us, Straws..... Grasping. Nick we know things should be better regarding signings, but we are where we are now. The lad is one of us and I am sure he will want to do well for his home town club, who knows he might actually get in the box and finish off some of the chances that are going begging at times. He has bags of experience which we do need, and could help Grant.
