Maybe someone up and coming rather than the same old faces (Pardew etc): Lee Bowyer? (with reservations about his past, but doing very well at Charlton) Cowleys? Done a great job at Lincoln. Michael Flynn? Long shot, but raising Newport from the ashes. Others? Bowyer was at the Fulham game. Saw him outside riverside at kick off with two others.

Ask Stuart Webber
Clearly the new coach needs to work closely with the new DOF
Webb may only start tomorrow but he has to be integral to the process
We should ideally have a manager in place for the international break - ideal opportunity to come in and work with most of the players
But if it takes a bit long it takes a bit longer

Apparently met with Sebastian Hoeneß, but planning on meeting others over next couple of weeks with David Webb heading initial shortlisting. Apparently you talk some crap at times!

That's my call due to the same reasons. That he spent ages studying the tactics late in the 2016/17 season. He was possibly being sounded out about taking over if we didn't go up and Wagner jumped ship. Makes more sense than most on this list. Bit of a laughing stock now but not long since he was England manager and obviously a good coach. Steve McClaren being appointed would go down like a cup of cold sick with most fans.

Webber left the club in April 2017 Siewert wasn’t even at Borussia Dortmund II then (I know we had spoken to him before this time)... and appointed here in January 2019! Are you seriously blaming Webber for an appointment made 21 months and 2 DOFs after his departure and whose failure was in large (or in part - depending on your view) down to transfers in 5 transfer windows after his departure?! This is DATM gold! (FWIW / I’m sure Webber will have identified a number of young German coaches He appointed Daniel Farke and won promotion to the Premier League after backing him in the transfer market... the last part of that sentence is important. Had he appointed Siewert maybe he would have supported him more than we did, just a thought)

I find it strange fans buy into some complete nobody from German non league football but are outraged at the thought of an ex England manager.

Boothy have you seen Steve Mclarens "destroy and exit " record at championship clubs in the last 5-10 years? If you have then you wouldn't be posting such nonsense .. keep McLaren and Casper well away from the JSS

In summary
Hughton is the only one who people agree could do the job.
But he wouldn't want it/ or we couldn't afford him.
Every other potential appointee is shite in some way or other.
Could I suggest that the club arrange a facility for the eco friendly disposal of thousands of returned season cards.
(At least folk will be able to get some more use out of the pitchforks they bought last time we had some unpleasantness.)

Jim Bowens top 3 choices
1. Chris Hughton 2. The Cowleys 3. Can't think of a third.
Who Jim thinks it's most likely to be
1. Mark Hudson 2. Nigel Adkins 3. Gary Rowett

Just think he’d tick more boxes than a lot of the names mentioned on here.

Did very well with Derby. Ex England manager, did well overseas. It's our gutter press that's persuaded people he's a useless wally. Not my favourite choice, but I reckon he's got to be in the running.

I think most fans would prefer Davina McCall

Having looked at the odds Giovanni van Bronckhorst stands out a mile but sadly I'd say the chances of that are slim to say the least.

I was speaking to a Barnsley supporter today, and apparently some of them fear that Town will be in for Stendel, their Manager. Doe anyone know what qualities he has?
