www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-49347946Maybe a moment to stop the anger and focus on supporting one of our players. This story is about his mother. Deepest sympathies to Romoney, can’t imagine what he’s going through. I’m sure Hartlepool are supporting him but I would hope we are doing even more to help him through this terrible time. RIP

I have just seen this on Twitter from the Hartlepool account but hadn't seen anything on here. The young lad from our academy who is out on loan at Hartlepool tragically lost his Mum last week when she was murdered in Barbados. A gofundme has been set up to try and get her body repatriated. Puts things into perspective after all the anger and moaning at Town's start to the season. Link is below for anyone wanting to help: www.gofundme.com/f/NatalieCrichlow-JusticeNews story here, very sad. www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-49347946

What possesses these absolute scum to do this to someone? Off topic but if that was in the UK I’d be calling for capital punishment.
RIP Mrs Crichlow. Hopefully your son can do you proud in his career.

Went to watch him for Hartlepool v Halifax last week, had a decent game. You'll all be pleased to know that as a full back this boy can cross a ball.

Not sure his crossing ability is the talking point currently mate. More so paying respects to a young women who had tragically lost her life in awful circumstances.

Awful story. BTW, two threads merged by me just now in case anyone wonders why the first two posts are similar.

That's just awful, poor lad. Read about it this morning but to think something like that could be in any way connected to our club is pretty shocking. Hope the lad gets all the support he'll need.

Am pretty sure the lunatic (when caught) will serve a far harsher prison term in Barbados than he ever would over here.
Saying that, I agree, Bring back the noose for those that have commited such offences, But only if there is no doubt.
Save a fortune, Culling the likes of Huntly, Sutcliffe, Cregan etc etc.

I'm genuinely lost for words.
Even before I opened the link, I felt sympathy for a young lad who has lost his mum. I'm more than twice his age & my beloved mum is still alive & well. I expected to read something about a terminal illness or a tragic accident (which would be traumatic enough), but this is beyond belief.
I don't know how you come back from something that horrible. I can only hope that Romoney & his family can find a way to get through something that defies comprehension.

Will be desperately;y hard for the lad to cope with this, as it would anyone. Probably not the best time for him to be away from home in a dressing room where hes new and doesn;t know anyone very well. Wonder if hed be better off cancelling that loan for a bit and getting him back with his mates in our development squad?

I wonder if we'll wear black armbands tonight. It'd be a nice gesture I know its a well meaning query but i doubt black armbands will be worn, although i could be wrong.Would it mean black armbands be worn everytime a close relative of towns staff passes away, i know the circumstances in this instance are extreme but we`ll see soon enough.
