Sorry for the duplication but I couldn't see how to add a poll to the existing thread. Will there be an old-manager-sacked bounce or are our problems far more deep seated than a refusal to play for JS?

Be a miracle if we get anything their. Maybe we'll see if they really weren't playing for the manager. 1-0 Town

Looking on their forum last night it doesn't seem a happy camp at Cardiff either. Without a goal 7 mins into injury time against Luton they'd be below us in the table. On paper they're games they'd be expected to win. Wigan, Luton & Reading are unlikely to be pushing top 6 whereas Cardiff are one of the favourites for promotion.
Get at them early doors, get a goal & I guarantee their fans will turn. Hope Hudson gets the players fired up for this one against a club he has a strong affinity to.

I've said from the beginning that Cardiff were being overhyped by many. Just can't see them doing well this season. Unfortunately it looks like we could be heading down the same path. Happy the manager has gone, it had to be done. Let's hope a change can kick start our season. 2-1 Town!

Please please let’s go with two up top. Clearly Grant has the ability, he would work even better with someone to feed off.

I seem to recall Hudson played 433 when he was in charge for the Man city game with Diakhaby, Mbenza & Kachunga being the front 3 that day. Anyone expecting a formation change may be disappointed.

He knew Siewert was 433 mad though. So, first time to do it his way. Could be owt. I guessing 4231 though because he talked a little Wagner-esk.

Wys daily just now with Glenda.
Lovely cameo interview from my mate Melly Smooth giving his insight, Saying that Hudson realises the 4 3 3 Has not been a proper one with no attacking threat. Melvyn is a top bloke scholar and a gentleman.

But didn't someone say something had happened in training and as a result he only had certain players he could pick from for the City game

I just hope that he picks players in their right position so whatever formation I don’t want to see, for example a makeshift left back!

Lets try
5 3 2 like Wolves who play now.
Superb going forward, 1 up top is pants and old school.

Can see up going back to geaganpressing. So line up something like
Grabba Hadj schinds stanks king Hogg obrien Kacha pritch rvlp Grant
Possibly swap Diakhaby and mbenza for kacha and rvlp but I'd worry about them working back and doing the defensive duties.

I just hope that he picks players in their right position so whatever formation I don’t want to see, for example a makeshift left back! The only player we currently have capable of playing left back is Kongolo. Plus Flo is our only right back. Based on the Lincoln game, Brown is nowhere near the level required yet and also appears to be right footed! Blockhorn looked a little better, but still not good enough yet. The only defender we have as a backup, that's currently anywhere near the level required, is Stankovic.

I've gone for a win, because of the 'Law of Averages' and the sacking of Siewert effect.

I'd take a point to be fair, not because Cardiff are any great shakes but we could do with a solid performance and some kind of result and I have a feeling he will stick with the bloody 433.

Fully agree with first part of your post, but personally would be very surprised if Mark sticks with the 433.

Grabba Elphick Schindler Kongolo Hadyergonads Hogg O'Brien Pritch RVLP Katcha Grant
something a little different, a 3-5-2 that can become a 5-3-2 should the need arise.

Mounie for Kachunga (ideally Campbell but I'm not expecting him to be fit enough) Edit : Do they still have Morrison and Bamba at CB, if so Grant with either of Diakhaby or Mbenza with him and kill them with pace
