Are we going to end up in bottom 3 or close to it?? We might. Or we might not. Let's say maybe or possibly. There's a chance we will and a chance we won't. I'm not sure. I don't know. I hope not. It would be surprising.

It's absolutely criminal if we do though, absolute criminal, someone needs to answer some serious questions. We've just come out of the PL no way should we be scratching around the bottom of the Championship signing some of the shite we have. Someone likened it to the golden ticket from Willy Wonka and we've bloody ripped it up!!!

Cant see many teams playing as shit as we are at the minute. I didnt see any championship squads replacd their best players with conference and league 2 players so at the minute yes it's a real possibility.

I honestly don’t know why so many are surprised
Majority on here have been on another planet over the summer
My favourite comment was Bockhorn, 24 and played 100 games at German tier 4-8 was almost like a Bundesliga player as he trained on a pitch next to the Dortmund first team...
I’ve said since June a good outcome would be top of bottom half
After giving away Mooy and not bringing in a left back I said we’ll do well to finish 16th
I stand by that

We need at least another 45 points so in that probably 12 wins and 9 draws... not sure

Going by recent form then yes.
We've not lost that losing mentality, team, club and fans alike.
We need a bit of luck/inspiration or a boost from someone/something to change it

We're at panic stations and if not, we should be. This situation isn't going to get better overnight unless we bring in a manager with proven history of success who can get players to respond immediately. We simply cannot take a low budget manager from the bottom of the barrel.

7 points of the play offs with a new manager that won’t be Hudson round the corner. What’s the problem?

7 points of the play offs with a new manager that won’t be Hudson round the corner. What’s the problem? Cardiff created more in the first 45 minutes than we have in 5 games. They then created more in the last 45 minutes than we have in 5 games. I'm not sure one man and an assistant can change it. I don't know if it's mental or actual talent but at the moment we just don't look capable of beating anything. We were lucky to draw at QPR if we are honest.

We’ve played derby (playoff finalists) Fulham (relegated with us spent gazillions) Cardiff (relegated with us) and just lost to each by a single goal. Forget Lincoln that was clearly a thrown game, but all three of those teams fans will expect like ours do to be up there competing it’s a really hard start to what’s going to be a really hard season. Vile needed three seasons to get back to the greedy league with all the money they threw at it as well! We won’t magically return we need to steady this ship and plan an assault on giving it a go in the very near future!

If any club ever needed a clearout and rebuild job it was Huddersfield Town this summer.
The culture around the playing squad last season stunk. Players behaved appallingly, manager(s) lost their way or never found one to start with. Unfortunate circumstances meant no owner overseeing the day-to-day business of the club, something that was perfect for an entire decade prior.
Being brutally honest, this isn't that uncommon in football. Anything can happen. It's not nice to witness as a fan but it's part of the journey of football. What is not acceptable is the horrific transfer policy this summer after last years was such a huge failure. Clubs relegated in the manner we were NEED a huge turnover of players to try and recover from what happened in 18-19.
From the final whistle in the final game of May, Town should have been trying to offload guys instead of waiting trying to maximise selling fees.
Mooy, Kongolo (too much invested to keep), Mounie, Billing, etc should have been offered around early in the transfer window. There is always potential buyers if the price is right. Our asking prices have clearly been too high (Mooy only on a loan etc) and whilst we may get more eventually because we waited to sell, it's meant we have found ourselves in this current situation - selling our only creative midfielder on transfer deadline day and no time to be able to bring anyone else in, others are still here and have values decreasing with each defeat. What will we recoup of the 17m for Kongolo if we get relegated again?
Then we have the apparently "wonderful" football forum were again in control of the transfers. The masterminds behind Diakhaby, Mbenza, Bacuna etc etc were given another transfer window. What? Who'd give that lot the opportunity to rebuild (or as evidenced - not rebuild) a squad so desperately in need of change. Bringing in a new Head of Football Ops just days after possibly the most important transfer window in our history? WHAT? Why wasn't that role filled before the transfer window? So, you know, they could try and develop something with new players and new style? Isn't that the obvious thing to do?
We've shagged ourselves by trying to be greedy in regards to transfer fees and now find ourselves unable to strengthen even if players now leave, finding ourselves at risk of another relegation and a bigger hit on the finances anyway.

We need the appointment of a big character as manager who will be allowed to rip everything up and start again.

Classic management... We will appoint a Head of football operations after the transfer window has shut.
Whoever is in the little group that consult and discuss signings etc must be totally clueless about football.

We're stuck with a squad who are simply not good enough, collectively and individually. We've totally cocked up the team through bad decisions made within the club. The finger points at the board for this. We're worse now than we were in the pre Wagner days of scrapping for survival after coming up from league one. That's some legacy, and was entirely avoidable. The club have fooked us over,us fans. I can't see a new manager making a silk purse out of this sows ear of a squad we have now. What a bloody disaster, what a crying shame for the fans.

The squad is lower bottom half with a decent manager however because we are skint after the injection of 200 million which apparently is accounted for with mounie's wages we need to be looking at non league for a manager

Town's 'style' of play is too predictable. A new manager with new ways of doing things is needed. Carry on playing as we are, we will go down. Act now before it is too late.

Where has the 200 million gone plus the 20 million for 3 recent sales ? Amazing ! Half has gone on paying for an interpreter so Phil can understand your gibberish on here. Gibberish skills are in high demand hence he's having to pay top whack. Most are currently working in Westminster...

Depends who we appoint as manager. I’m confident a strong appointment can pull this lot up to mid table
