Imagine if the internet had been around in the 1970's. We've had a shit start to the season. 30yrs ago this would have been debated in the pubs, work the next day etc., the internet blows this stuff out of all proportion. Win 2 out of the next 3 games, we're probably mi-table & talk on here will be about reaching the play-offs. Though I suppose that kicking the shit out of the virtual world on here is better than kicking the shit our of your cat... I wouldn't normally say this but I'll make an exception, oh do sod off you are so tedious at times. I know I can be a bit negative but you seem to be the other way. Look it's crap at the minute and the fans are pissed off big time and to be honest with good reason. The players are playing poorly, we've had to sack the manager after not backing him with any funds in the window, we've got an owner no one really trusts. If he doesn't get this next managerial appointment right then he'll get even more hammer.

How do you find the time to go on all 91 forums mate? It’s hard work trying to keep up with it all 😂 I went on the Man City forum and they have a Leeds watch thread and hate us with a passion. I didn’t even know they hated us Sounds like you enjoy the hate! Anyway, I'm off on Stoke's forum to take the piss. Catch you later pal!

You need a decent manager in and you will bounce up the league You know I really hope you’re right. I thought this until tonight but I’m really starting to worry we’re on a proper slide now. Can’t believe I’m complementing a leeds fan on here, things must be bad. It’s a poor league this season so you have plenty of time to sort your shit out

On a positive note we've scored a goal in all 4 leagues so far :-) Aye and I've shat me pants but at least I haven't stood in dogshit. I think this is where Town are just now, at a stage of awareness & the ability to change something. As you get older, it becomes more important to at least be aware that you've shit your pants...

We all agree its a bloody big mess, The club is imploding. Most of our current squad look very poor players. The silece from the chairman is more than defeaning its Causing tinitus buzzing.

Have been trying very hard to defend previous manager and the club in general for sometime now. Too many 'careless moments on the pitch, too many half hearted non challenges and just can't be arsed free kicks given away, too many passes forward where nobody tries to support it, too much just 'being there' in and around our own box. When it continually looks like the opposition have more players than you it is time for comment and change. We could not shift enough of those who did not want to be here so the 3 windows wasn't a kop out by the chairman, nobody wanted them and it's clear their small amount of personal pride was hurt but not enough unfortunately to care about making themselves look like unenthusiastic amateurs on telly. It been bad recently but parts of tonight we're just unprofessional and care less.

We’ve won 4 in 55 4 defeats in 5 this season 2 goals from open play in 5 games This was as clear as daylight in June and we did nothing about it In fact we worsened the team We’ve sold £25m of players and loaned our best player... ... and brought in a bunch of free transfers and league 2 / conference players We’ve sacked the manager who was thrown under the bus by the Board And you say it’s an over reaction?! That's pretty fair....

I'd hoped Atlantis that after the sacking of Siewert your posts - of this type - might have lessened if only for a few weeks. Your defence of JS, our football, the club management etc were positive and admirable but so unconnected with reality that I, like some other posters. wondered what you were on. It's surely allowed, after what has happened tonight and for over a year (being generous) that people can be human and moan. We seem to be in a bleak position and sinking fast, with no obvious bright light at the end of the tunnel. The statistics are truly dreadful and the squad of players equally poor, and equally responsible. I won't go on but week after week we get comfortably beaten.Tonight Cardiff were poor but could have scored eight, literally, 18 months ago we were, relatively speaking, flying. Now the victories, football, goals, identity, confidence etc etc have gone and we seem to be plummetting to the First Division, with possibly no money either. Yes it would be wonderful if we didn't care so much and supported everything the club/players are doing. We do lose perspective, but we're human beings and sometimes the only thing that gets us going a bit is a good moan. One thing is definite - we are NOT overreacting. There are things in life that transcend HTFC - during a 90 min period of the game and the aftermath there's probably not a lot gets in the way for most of us. I would call myself a dyed in the wool Town fan, but maybe I'm of an age where it's only really important for a fraction of my week? It's always on the periphery of course, but not sure it's really worth getting so het up about, we're shit, we're ace, we're shit, where ace, ad infinitum... Thanks Atlantis - that explains a lot. It may be wrong, we may be pathetic, we may need to get a life, but you've confirmed that football, or particularly, HTFC, isn't perhaps as important to you as it is to lots of others on this board. It probably reflects more on us than it does on you, but we have a different perspective on things. It may well be a weakness but I find it hard not to get "het up" at what's happening to my club. And I was around for the old days of the 4th Division.

4 games in. I think some need to chill out. Still a long long way to go yet. Even we could implode again Yes only 4 games in leeco but it’s only part of the bigger picture. Losing week in, week out since it seems forever drains us. I feel totally bereft if any optimism or hope. You are so close to picking a point or 3 up but you know it’s only matter of time before we lose concentration or make a comedy error to gift the opposition a goal and that it. All over for another day. It feels like Pep or Klopp could come and it would still be the same story. They’d shake their heads and say “I’m sorry but there is fuck all I can do to sort this situation out. There’s nothing here to work with.” You are right, there is a long way to go yet, but the fear is that’s another 42 games of disappointing, turgid failure to ‘look’ forward to. You will be fine. You’ll walk it this time. Confidence flowing through good players with loads of fitness to call on. Can’t see anything else but promotion to the Prem for you guys.

All good with me Wigster, each to their own - maybe I'm just mellowing a bit. I'm not suggesting people are pathetic BTW or that it's a weakness, supporting your local team drives passion & there's nothing wrong with that, it's actually a good thing. I just don't think we're in as bad a place as some people describe on here. Ten games in, bottom of the league and the club in disarray, then I'll start to become a little more jaded I suppose, but I still think we've got the bare bones of something half decent and can turn this around. We desperately need a win to kick start things, it'll come...

Agree Atlantis.
A win will come. We are in a terrible state all over the place currently, we need a character to come in and grab it by the scruff of the neck....Wagner-esque.
I do feel there may be more blood to shed yet, but sometimes that’s no bad thing.
One thing that disappoints is the amount of bile thrown at each other recently and definitely tonight. Love the passion but the insults are getting a bit OTT.

Every team that has been top at Christmas has been promoted but not us. Then we broke another record in the playoffs

I suppose I was pointing out that the options for venting your spleen are so much more varied nowadays & also instantaneous. Yrs ago people would have been pissed off, but would have cooled down before they got the opportunity to vent the next day, or a couple of hours later in the pub etc. A sense of perspective would have prevailed. Nowadays, it's such a boring & common theme that this is the worst football in the history of the club for some, which is pretty much a load of bollocks... The instant gratification/support of your viewpoint just builds the bonfire a little bit higher. It's football FFS, we've been in much worse positions as club. We might well end up having a dreadful season, but we've had 3 games with a defeat by the odd goal at this point in time. We've 42 games left, hardly the point for panic & histrionics. The defeats might have been by the odd goal, but they should have been by far more. Good goalkeeping and poor finishing have kept the opposition's score down. To quote an old cliche, it's not the losing that is so alarming, it's the manner of the defeats. We rarely look like scoring and regularly look like conceding. Keep playing like this and a thumping will come. Maybe more than one. I'd like to think I'm generally a reasonably measured poster, but even I can see the downward spiral we are currently in. I am desperately looking for positives, but at the moment I genuinely can't see where our first win is coming from.

As stated by someone above, the club has had basically 8 months to prepare for this league, make a plan and understand its direction. From seemingly placing more importance on playing practical jokes with a bookie instead of recruiting in the blatantly lacking areas of the squad, to allowing a manager that was completely out his depth to keep his job from May to 4 games into a new season. How many people can be wrong and I will include in that, non Town fans. My son had his Town shirt on whilst we were in Torquay and even one of their fans commented on what a "shit show" our club is at the moment......fucking Torquay. For a handful of people to sit around a boardroom table and not see or recognise what all of this "load of bollocks" we apparently spout is in fact bang on correct then it doesn't get much worse. Absolute tinpot from the top down, thats perspective

Outside of a statement advising we were relieving Siewert of his duties, I haven’t seen anything from the club. Thought there may have been something along the lines of “it’s Hudson’s til the international break”, “we are in negotiations with a candidate & hope to make an appointment after the Reading game”. Something, anything. Wonder if there will be anything enlightening in PH’s programme notes on Saturday?
