Wagner odds on favourite to be next West Brom manager.
His reception from us when they come to Town will be interesting!

Wagner odds on favourite to be next West Brom manager. His reception from us when they come to Town will be interesting! Interesting how? IF HE GOES TO WBA, I certainly think he'll be received warmly. Can't imagine there'll be any boos, at most a few frowns of disapproval because he was believed to have signed a 3-year contract in summer 2018 and was gone 6 months later, some will take his personal circumstances into account, some won't. A few will be thinking of his involvement in the appointment of Olaf Rebbe, who must have come on his recommendation (having interviewed Wagner himself at Wolfsburg a year or so before) and ended up doing bugger all for the club. I think I'm right in saying that he would have gone to Wolfsburg too, if DH hadn't given him more lolly. Even so, overall can't see it being anything less than thunderous applause from all sides of the ground ( although that could change if we play West Brom at their place first in the season, and they Gegenpress us into a humiliating defeat). Just hoping that there's nothing in the rumours and his wife convinces him to stay in Germany, much rather see him at a German 2nd or 3rd division side.

If DW gets the job I hope WBA run away with 2nd place, Grant scores 35 goals & they sell him for a huge profit, providing we have a sell on clause.
I must admit, it will be horrible seeing DW manage against us but he would have to get one of the best ever receptions received for a returning manager/player.
Whatever he does now or in the future, the man gave me my best season watching Town in 50 years, for that alone, he will always be a hero to me. How we could do right now with the unity he brought us.

To be at some of the games that season and the win at Wembley was un-real. I watched The Impossible Dream on Youtube for about the 500th time last night.....Still almost jump of the couch every time Schindler puts the penalty in. Memories of that season will live long and that is down to Wagner. I wish him nothing but success wherever he goes

Shows how tight the promotion winning team was when, even now, they get back together to support good causes... What a good set of lads

A certain shiny bonced Aussie being linked with a move to Celtic now they've got a fellow convict in charge. Can't see him giving up the money though, shame

My god. The Independent has gone downhill. I couldn't get to the bottom of that article on my Android phone for adverts inserting themselves.
