I actually enjoy the women's game. Sure it's well below the standard of men and can be very frustrating to watch. However, you don't get players moping around or diving or complaining to the ref or rolling around like they've been shot after a foul. It's a very honest game where everybody is giving 100% and it's refreshing to see.

It just doesn't work. If you're used to watching the mens game then you are never going to enjoy it. I watched the Solheim cup last weekend and in some ways it was better than men's golf. Yes some of them are a bit short off the tee but shots in to the greens and putting was outstanding. Same with Raducanu on Saturday. It was as entertaining as any mens match could ever be. For some reason with football it just looks all wrong. The womens game is fastly improving, tv will probably ruin that game too, like it has the mans game. A decent product is required first.

Excellent result. Always good to claw back some goal difference! I spent my Sunday afternoon in the division record-breaking attendance of 4,443 watching Forest in a discouraging 2-0 loss at home to Derby, played at the City Ground. Same price as it is when they're at Eastwood, fiver for adults and kids for a quid, so plenty of families in attendance (had to mind my Ps and Qs, and got a menacing stare from a mother for muttering "sheep, sheep, shaggers" a bit too loud...) Compared to paying £28 to watch the Forest men's first team plus god knows how much for the kids, it's great value for money for an afternoon out. Hell, I don't think any WSL clubs charge over a tenner for adult admission, do they?

They absolutely hammered Sheffield from start to finish. Be nice to see them in the John smiths. I've noticed Sunderland Bradford and Nottingham forest have all done it this season so far!

FA Women’s National League - Northern Premier League - Sunday (10/10/2021)
West Bromwich Albion WFC 1 v Huddersfield Town Women 3
( Elford 1’ 40’ - Fletcher 60’ )
Another good win for the girls of HTAFC women... a good bit of momentum going now Ladies... as always on a win... well done !
With the ladies on a roll, the B team scoring for fun (6-0 win v Watford) and the lads first team getting off to a decent start, there have I’d say, been worse times to have been a Huddersfield Town supporter !

Won 9-1 at the Dingles 👏👏👏 Excellent. Wondered if the first team had a game lined up today. Derby at home this coming Sunday, 4th vs 3rd, got to be ready for that one! No surprises for Becky Flaherty on Saturday, on the bench at Wembley. Probably for the best looking at the stats...

England ladies 10 nil up in lavia!! If it wasn't for the woodwork and Latvia's keeper it'd have been 20Believe it or not Porrohman when you said 20 it took me back to the old BBC Grandstand video printer days and Saturday full time and looking out for the final Huddersfield Town score amongst the rest of them (it was my only way of finding out results then and goals flashed up on the Football Latest caption usually on the second half of a rugby league match on a helluva mucky pitch and an excitable Eddie Waring commentating ! ) One winters day in The Scottish Cup the fella that read the final result out for the Pools (coupons we called them here) said ‘And Stirling Albion 20 - oh goodness me, no that must be a mistake, Stirling Albion 2 - but no I’m told by the highest level at the football division that’s it’s true - The official score is Stirling Albion 20 v Selkirk (non league) 0... I must’ve been 14 or 15 thereabouts then so this would be around 1984 or 85’ It’s kinda not anything to do with The very fine Huddersfield Town Women’s team but just when I read the could’ve been 20 bit, that and two substantial glasses of whisky brought back the old reminisce brain to the fore there !

FA Women’s National League - Northern Premier Division (Sunday 31st October 2021)
Huddersfield Town Women 1 v Derby Ladies 3 (Sanderson 70’ )
Not quite a Hallowe’en horror show, but a disappointing result for HTAFC women’s team against Derby Ladies... it’s been three weeks since they played and a good momentum run of wins was broken by this gap in competitive footy....
Anyway still in 4th in their League, still in contention and onwards and upwards to the next match for The Terrieresse’s !

First team beat Middlesbrough 3-2, Development team beat the lady Chickens 5-1 Hens? Old Boilers? That was certainly not an egg-ceptional performance by the female Bradford girls...Hens they were clearly chicken of The Young Terrieresse’s Playing like Old Boilers ? Perhaps they were carrying too many pounds per square inch, and the high pressure got to them... Or perhaps they were steaming from the night before.. if that was the case then maybe the manager will Ban-tem from nights out and any more cock-ups !

It was the FAWNL Cup second round draw this morning – Town are away to Loughborough Lightning, to be played Sunday 5th December.
Next up is the FA Cup first round proper on Sunday afternoon, at home to Sir Tom Finney FC. UTT!

Given they're struggling in that league (10th of 12) that should imply progression. Let me take a deep breath... the North West Women's Regional Football League Division One North... so yes, level 6, three levels below Town! This looks to be the first time they've got to the first round proper, having been given a walkover against Bolton Ladies in the last round. As long as we're professional and don't muck about, progression shouldn't be an issue.
