30-4-2022.. Sheffield and Hallemshire County cup final - Huddersfield Town Women 5 v Barnsley Women 0 - (Fletcher 14’ - Sanderson 25’ - Elford 58’ 84’ 86’ ) Well done to HTAFC Women and congratulations to the Ladies on their silverware and success ! Always great to see success coming home to Huddersfield Town ! 🏆 ⚽️ 🍺 Reminds me of the time Town won the Yorkshire Electricity Cup 1995. Still brings tears to my eyes.

Opened the season with a 7-1 away win despite having a player sent off at 3-1 👏👏👏 Thanks Porro for getting this thread back up as I couldn’t find if for love nor money earlier today ! As you say a good 7-1 win indeed with ten men - (have went with men as the match I took in v Burnley Women in April the girls were shouting ‘man on’ when Burnley went near them) ! Anyway I’ll give the match scorers below !

21-8-2022 FA Women’s League (Northern Premier Division)...
Boldmere St,Micheal’s Ladies 1 v Huddersfield Town Women 7.... (Mallin 3’-45’-60’) (Elford 22’-68’-88’) (Sanderson 83’)
So an eventful start for the ladies indeed - two hat-tricks, one each for Kate Mallin (well done Kate and ta for signing ma programme in April) and also Laura Elford And a goal for Brittany Sanderson as well...
Beth Ibbeston was red carded for second bookable offence (55’) and Kate Mallin scores DIRECT FROM A CORNER ! - Kate’s in good company as Huddersfield Town’s own Billy Smith became the very first footy player to score direct from a corner kick in a 4-0 win v Arsenal at Leeds Road on 11th October 1924 a rule that was only newly introduced at the start of the 1924/25 season, so well done today Kate - and the rest of your team mates too !
And hey - Guess who’s No1.at the Top of the table (albeit only on goals scored) but still top are..... HUDDERSFIELD TOWN WOMEN !!!! 🥃⚽️🥃

You can’t win with the lefty agenda driven morons. Or right wing tossers I agree on right wing tossers but wokes are not left wing, their just a different type of right wing tosser.

Good read that report is mosher and Thank You for that ! I don’t normally post about Huddersfield Town Women in advance of a match but with this international break and no Town match and the recent postponements for one reason or another it would be good for the Ladies if they got a bigger support than usual this Sunday... So if any HTAFC fans with an interest in women’s footy are at a loose end on Sunday the next match is - Sunday 25th September 2022. FA Women’s Northern League Cup... Huddersfield Town Women v Sourbridge Ladies - (Kick Off @ 2pm) - @ Stafflex Arena Strothes Hall area.

I've seen a lot of mens games on TV with women's games promoted on their pitch side advertising. I'm not saying that Town should do that but surely it wouldn't hurt (or cost anything) for next match to be read out at HT or FT and for them to post on social media? After the buzz created during the summer the women really need to try and cash in. It would probably be a good idea to offer free entry to ST holders during the international break as well.

Agree completely terryya but it's WAY better than before. There was a time when they weren't allowed any kind of connection with the men's team, didn't get our cast off kits or anything. I seem to remember reading something about them being told to "cease and desist use of Huddersfield Town Association Football Club images" or something to that effect. Which meant they couldn't even use the or refer to themselves as HTFC to some extent. Much better now, but as you say, much much more could be done by the men's team. Perhaps something as simple as introducing them at half time, telling the men's supporters when games were. Things that wouldn't cost the men's club a penny but would probably enhance the women's team greatly.

(Wed) 28-9-2022 - FA Women’s League (Northern Premier Division)...
Brighouse Town Ladies 1 v Huddersfield Town Women 1... (Elford 68’ pen)
Eventful match this with Brighouse Ladies hitting the woodwork FIVE times no less including the crossbar three times in a minute - guess the joke in the dressing room after might be “How do the Brighouse Ladies like their vodka and gin... Against the bar” might be the answer there !
Town also had a goal disallowed (77’) but refs have given two penalties two games running which Laura Elford has converted after herself being upended so the girls seem to be doing better than the guys with these type of decisions...
A late equaliser for Brighoose Toon Lassies (just to let you know there’s some Scottish reporting here if your checking the DATM forum Mr Fotheringham) ! - leaves HTAFC Women fifth in their League !

Another fine win for Huddersfield Town Women today propelling the Ladies up to Third place in their league and very much in contention to be champions !
Well done Girls 👍
PS.. (The Guys team) - Take note of how to go on a winning run please !!!!

(Sun) 09/10/2022 - FA Women’s League (Northern Premier Division)...
A.F.C. Flyde Women 2 v Huddersfield Town Women 0...
And it’s a role reversal this week with the HTAFC Women losing and the guys team winning - (it’s always a pure fab feeling when both win) !
The Ladies lost a goal in first half injury time and in chasing an an equaliser lost a second midway through the second half...
However they’ve only slipped one place to fourth and are still reasonably well placed in the table.

16-0 away win for the ladies today. Only Penistone Church in the cup but all the same, 16 fucking nil, well done ladies!!! Club website trying to steal an extra goal mosher by saying it was a 17-0 win ! Well they are at 4.30pm anyway before they surely will correct their error... Not quite the TWENTY (20) that the ladies put past Sir Tom Finney FC Ladies in the FA cup on 14th November last year but a damn good effort non the less and as you rightly say well done - I usually try to get the scorers and goal times up along with a wee positive comment but all the club website is saying is a first half hat trick by the prolific goal scorer Laura Elford... A good win for the Devs. Women also - St. Joseph’s Rockware of Workshop Women’s FC 1 V Huddersfield Town Women Development 4 (Harris - Hodkin x3) Very well done to the Ladies of both the Huddersfield Town teams ! 👍👍 ———————————————————————— (Scorers update - Thanks to terryya for the link) - was 0-10 at half time... 0-16 at full time - Peniston Church Ladies 0 v Huddersfield Town Women 16... HTAFC Women Scorers - (Elford x3 - Hulme x3 - Montgomery x2 - Stanfield x2 - Fletcher x2 - Hounsley x2 - Furlong x1 - Ibbiston x1)

(Sun) 23/10/2022 - FA Women’s League (Northern Premier Division)...
Huddersfield Town Women 4 v Stoke City Women 3... (Sanderson 8’ - 21’ - 35’ - 51’)
And so the undoubted hero of the day is Brittney Sanderson with FOUR ⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️ goals including a swift first half hat-trick !
The win means HTAFC Women leapfrog Stoke Women into fourth place with a game in hand and also a game hand over third place Burnley Women...
Well done Town Ladies especially Brittney 👍
So not a bad weekend for Town all round but not so good for the Stoke guys or women’s teams (sorry chadders) but needs must and that was an excellent win for The Terrieresse’s and would have been great entertainment for those who went along to cheer on The Huddersfield Town Women team !

I think it's Brittany - Westie..... ....but you've given me the opportunity to ask the board a question I've been thinking about for a while... ....Does Brittany Sanderson remind anyone else of Chris Waddle? ..similar running style, body shape & mannerisms....might just be me.... & now Katie Nutter (Stanley) has retired surely close to the best player in the squad. ...wish she looked like she was enjoying it a bit more though....

(Sun) 30/10/2022 - FA Women’s Northern League Cup...
Loughborough Lightening Women 1 v Huddersfield Town Women 2 (Fletcher 16’ 24’ )...
And so The Ladies progress to the next round of the cup thanks to a double early on from Serena Fletcher but despite a lot of pressure from the hosts Town held on thanks to resoulite defending and some great goalkeeping by Megeray -
All in all then a pure fab weekend for Town fans of both teams and hopefully more of the same as it’s a great feeling when both The Lads and The Lassies Win ! ⚽️ 🥃 ⚽️

We've been to Loughborough this afternoon. Good result for the ladies and progress to the next round of the cup. They had to rely on a great point blank save from the keeper in the dying seconds to preserve the lead - and she definitely needs to work on her Jordan Pickford style falling down to waste time!
But - is everything okay at the ladies club? Was that a much-changed team from normal or have so many of the players from last season left? There were so many names on the team sheet that I didn't recognise from last season (although there were more recognisable names on the bench). Also, they didn't seem to have a Physio with them. One was needed twice - one for an injury that resulted in the player going off and the coach just went over to help her off and the second one was for a clash of heads. The Loughborough Physio was on to deal with their player but ours just had to sit for a while and recover herself with no help from the sidelines.

So that’s HTAFC got two alleged time ‘keepers’ (time wasters) in both The Terriers and Terrieresse’s teams... Just hope they remembered to put the clocks back an hour at 2am today !!!

A few of the ladies went to Brighouse Town last year, and Katie Nutter retired. This is what happens when they aren’t given enough financial support sadly. Hopefully any prospective new owner pulls the ladies team into the club fold a little more and gives them a leg up, so to speak. Said before I’d happily contribute to sponsoring a player from the DATM rabble/ranks. 🙂
