Apparently he only ate toast for breakfast for a year as he didn’t like our breakfasts and he couldn’t find a bakery to get fresh bread. Oh and he missed the smell of fresh coffee.
I am sure people do still get fresh bread in backwards Huddersfield don’t they?
Maybe he should have got out and explored a bit more.

I agree with Durm, British bread in the main is shit. As for the weather, I'm not sure the British winter weather is all that different across the whole of Northern Europe so it can't have been much different from weather in a German winter.
