If there are 3 worse sides than us in this division then I haven't seen them yet.

I wouldn't be too dejected. We aren't a bottom three side. We will survive this season and mount a challenge next. Keep the faith I think that's the long term plan and the only one that's available to us at the minute, just stay up, finish as high as we can and then mount a serious challenge next season. Sounds like a bloody good plan to me!

Whilst things are awful right now, at least we have hired a manager who isn't blind to what our problems are, or feels like he has to be softly-softly for the sheer sake of it. His post-match comments on the club's YouTube channel give me every confidence we can pull ourselves out of this rut.
He seems to have identified the exact issues in the way we play, and the most poignant thing he said for me is that "the club needs to stop feeling sorry for itself". Until we change our mindset then we're beaten before we even set foot on the pitch. I reckon within a couple of months we won't even recognise this team and the way it plays currently.

I do wonder what Stankovic is doing wrong that means he isn't getting a look in at the moment. If we are going to persist with Kongolo at LB, then JGS is a better option than Elphick. Opposition strikers must rub their hands together with glee when they see TE in the starting line up. How a player with so much experience can lose concentration so often is beyond me. I wouldn't want him in the side if we were in Lg1.

2 decent full backs and a creative player in the middle of the park and we would look a different team We had a decent full back and sold him to bloody Stoke, not that he's doing them much good I will admit. Not disagreeing but let's not forget that Smith WANTED TO GO and that was the crux of the matter - his head had been turned.

Where do you think we will finish Ted? About 15th.. We were OK for 60 minutes. We have talent in the team to stay up its the shot to pieces mentality which is hamstringing us. Once the second goes in its game over. But I believe the brothers will turn us round Disagree it was over after 10 minutes, The brothers have an impossible task with this set of players

My head is telling me we aren’t a bottom 3 side. The facts show we are. We shouldn’t be a bottom 3 side and over a 46 game season I would like to think we would get over 45 points. 45 points. Seems like a huge amount at the moment. In our last 84 league games we have 54 points. There was a stat thrown about yesterday showing the last 40ish games we have been behind at half time, won 0, lost 36. Gonna take some turnaround.

Well given his value to the team someone should have PERSUADED HIM TO STAY! Difficult when you consider he played only 16 games last season, Flo played more. Captaincy taken off him rightly or wrongly. Probably saw the writing on the wall right then and decided his career at Town was probably over.

In the main this is a mindset problem.
We've gone from being so confident and bullish during the first 2 seasons under DW, to a shell of a team mentally. These lads can't buy a win just now. Too many are probably over compensating to try and make something happen, which leads to what sometimes looks like a total lack of tactics.
There are obviously weaknesses in the squad but there's a lot of talent if they can cross this mental barrier.
Always interesting that some people berated DW for him going on about our underdog status, but it seemed to work for the most part. Maybe the players need to learn a bit of humility again?

Chins up lads, don't forget Cowley has yet to appreciate the unique skills of Collin which are waiting in the wings!

Completely dejected after that. Felt we were the better team but we could have played all week and not score. Players need to be accountable now. I feel like we have the right managers in for the job but the playere cant hide behind Jan or phil anymore. Even a bad team can win games and we cant even do that. Flo and hoggy need to be dropped and give youth a chance. Thought there were positive signs,I can't say we were the better team though

Any team preparing to play us knows all they have to do is attack our right hand side Flo HAS to be dropped the centre backs get dragged out of position to cover for him he not a footballer I don’t normally single out one player but it is obvious to almost everyone he is the main weak link UTT

This team has forgotten how to score. Until that is rectified we have no chance. The Cowleys have an enormous task on their hands. Good luck with that! I cannot relate to this team. They’ve worn me down. I’d be delighted never to see Hadergjonaj, Diakhaby, Mbenza, Bacuna, Elphick, Mounié ever again. Cannot really disagree with that.

Stoke must have the same recruitment ethos as we do.

We need to get the ball forward quicker to exploit the pace we have in our team. Cowley knows this. During the game he was telling them to pass it more quickly and with purpose. We have spent so bloody long tapping it about at the back with no purpose that it is ingrained in the team.

Phil said we've got a list of free agents available to the Cowleys if needed. Fingers crossed its got Ben Marshall on it and another right back!

Not disagreeing but let's not forget that Smith WANTED TO GO and that was the crux of the matter - his head had been turned. Can't blame him the way Siewert treated him. Can't emphasise enough how much of a negative impact Jan would have had, coming in and kicking the players every day. For seasoned pros and young players to almost immediately decide he was a dick, his impact across the club can't be ignored

We've picked up where we left off from last season.
I haven't seen anything to suggest we will not he relegated.
Including the cup game, we've got what we deserved every week, with the exception of QPR, a defeat there would've probably been fairer.
