Yep. Overall not having a replacement is the killer here. Clearly Mooy made Hogg and Bacuna look better than they actually hope Let’s just hope he continues to shine to extract as much value out of him at the end of the season Or. He’s terrible and they send him back in January 🤪 And more than likely straight back out again, Probably but you never know. There wasn’t exactly a queue of teams after him in the summer. Hence why we had to take the deal we did

That grated with me. Why? His lack of appearances for BHA suggest he isn't as great as many people make out he is. He seems unable to get in to a struggling PL team whereas he was a mainstay during Town's struggles and everyone says he's the best player Town have ever had, that, unfortunately, is a sad indictment of Town throughout the years when an average PL player is hailed our best ever yet struggles to get in another struggling PL team. Not watching this game but from what I can tell he's done nothing but given the ball away. Let me ask this, if he was still here, do you think Town would be higher up the table? I don't. The problem he has at Brighton in my opinion is lack of game time resulting in lack of match fitness. Whether we would be higher up the table I don't know. We wouldn't be lower though....

Poor game from Mooy. Strolled around a lot, gave the ball away quite a bit and had no real influence on the game. He'd be far better dictating the play for us than being a bit part player for Brighton, which is what he will be if he continues to play like that. If he can't do it for Brighton, why would he be able to do it for us? Well we're in a lower division for a start and he's spent the best part of three years doing it for us. Up until his injury at the beginning of December Mooy, Billing and Hogg were looking like the best midfield trio in the bottom half of the PL. By the time he came back the clueless Siewert had taken over and was playing him on the left. Hopefully a half decent manager will recognize that Mooy needs to be played in a central role.

Totally agree with this. You would have thought that Potter at Brighton would have known also that Mooy should play more centrally.

Siewert and his crappy 4-3-3, that suited none of the players we had 😂😂

I take it you were one of the fuckwits chanting homophobic stuff at the Brighton fans last season giving our club a bad name? I'm sure someone on here said you were an adult which came as a massive surprise to me because you post like a school kid. I don't think you'll be posting much more on here anymore tbf.

Well he's just been dubbed. The commentator said 'well he'll be a very good squad player for Brighton' Those Aussie accents are not the easiest to understand 😀

he didnt, which speaks volumes

He was our player and we didn't have to do some weird loan deal to Brighton. We chose to let him go, saves a load on wages and if things go well guarantees a big fee. We didn't have to loan him, we chose to, he was our player, contacted to us and behaving like the pro he is. Just thought I'd clear that up for those quoting Phil's interview like it confirms the club had no choice.

There's a chance Phil is twisting the facts, but it's more likely true than your your implication.

Sent from my SM-G920F using proboards You have stated some facts, as I clearly said, but there is a tone and implication that we were happy to see him go for financial reasons, which IS NOT an irrefutable fact. I would also suggest there is an implication he would've continued performing for us as he had done previously. I would hope that would be the case, but again that IS NOT an irrefutable fact. I have listened to the podcast and know one of the people involved very well, so trust me, I am probably more informed than you.

Great player who didn’t want to play for us (in this division) realistically he’s a player we can’t afford too! Biggest challenge for the Crowley’s going forward will be how we manage a dressing room with lads on £4K a week and £40k a week.

Wagner played Mooy on the left more than once, one occasion I remember was Watford away last season.
