Think my main criticism of Lossl was that he didn;t save many that you wouldn;t expect a keeper to save. But hes steady enough.. a keeper who was reliably 'ok'. If it was him or Smithies, then it'd be Smithies for me simply because he did make a lot of saves you wouldn;t expect a keeper to make. That’s exactly how i describe Lossl. He does the other stuff very well though and i’d have him over Smithies every day. (who i also like)

'..didn't save MANY..' Its there in words if you look! Put smithies in our PL team and we would have conceded so many more than what we did with lossl in Disagree. Hed have saved more of the ones Lossl conceded IMO. But, just an opinion.

Lossl back on loan an excellent move Best keeper I've seen at Town. I'm always torn between the three for different reasons.. Lossl, Vaesen and Harper but Lossl probably edges it for the Chelsea save and level of football.

Chelsea away was ‘one for the cameras’ then? lol The save against Newcastle on our opening home win in the Premier League was the best I’ve seen from a Town keeper. Absolutely incredible The home draw with Stoke in our first season he made two unbelievable saves aswell.

Koroma / Flo going must mean we are signing a winger

Lossl would be a good move if it happens. Obviously not playing at the moment for Everton, guess it depends (from their point of view) on their 3rd choice keeper being considered good enough to step up. Probably just a short-term loan to cover Grabara’s injury, but I’d be happy with until the end of the season. If just to wind Captain Muesli-Fuckwit up... Maarten Stekelenburg..

I’d say Lossl is a very boring keeper, and i like that.

Smithies gets better with every year that passes of him not being here. He was a liability on crosses and couldn’t command a box for love nor money. Good shot-stopper though and that’s what catches the eye of the masses.

Smithies better than lossl 😂😂😂. Can’t remember a better keeper at town than lossl in my time. Been going since 1995, you have to take into account the level we were playing at. Only Steve Harper comes close I’d say they were of a similar level, lower prem 2nd choice goalkeepers

And some great saves in the home win vs WBA, when we were down to 10 men and under the cosh at the end.

Lossl until the summer and then Smithies coming back home would do for me Loss has been on the bench twice in the last 9 games and a lot more over the earlier part of the season. I don’t think he will be back here.

Apparently Lossl is coming back! No idea if legit but that would be great. Best keeper we’ve had in my time (and that includes Harper, etc) circa 1991 onwards. No he's not. Probably not even in the top 10

Lossl is best for me since Terry Poole who was on verge of an England call up until that Birmingham villain Latchford went over the top and broke his leg - recovered but was never the same again

I'd say he was the most commanding keeper I've seen since around the same time as you. Collected crosses for fun and could punch to the halfway line.

Bennett was a brilliant keeper but the game had moved on by the time he came here. He didn't have the distribution skills and wasn't comfortable with the ball at his feet, although he was was 40 years old by then 😁. Lössl was and still is, in my opinion, a level above Smithies.
