Neither of the pen shouts nor the red card are on the short highlights. But both the 3rd and 4th goals are offside.
Edit: 2nd looks like a foul as well, but only seen 1 angle.
Can't wait for these decisions to even out over the season. Premier League here we come.

Very poor performance. More disappointing is that it was exactly what we knew Stoke would be like but we seemed oblivious on how to counteract it.
No doubting our midfield is an unbalanced mess and the defence are getting no cover whilst have little faith in the keeper behind them. All departments seemed woefully isolated today.

I was going to do Dry January but after that shite... 🤔🤔 ….and instead of Movember can we have Moveonuary because so many of these are not good enough. Never rated Trev from day one, the game goes on around him, cant pass and is just big. Reminds me of one of those foam giants from "Its a knockout". Brown...simply not good enough and never will be. Never been a fan of Hogg either...if you cant pass more than 10 yards you are not really a footballer. The "Stopper" was a 1960's footballer. Sounds like a disaster today...first game I have missed in quite a while....good!

We went 2-1 up totally against the run of play. I couldn’t believe we were winning. Well that’s football I thought
Then the game continued as the first half had. Totally second best all over the park
Yes I thought their centre half was lucky to be on the pitch. Yes we had a couple of penalty decision against us.
But in general play we were awful.
Disjointed. Lopsided. The lack of players available is ruining us. Kachunga for all his abuse gives us balance

Stoke have done a job on us and the ref has been complicit. Rarely you get a team committing 20 fouls and there is no sending off. 20? Don’t forget the 10+ that he didn’t give!

NEED AT LEAST 7 PLAYERS TO REPLACE THE DEADWOOD WITH BIG LOSES EXPECTED ON MANY

Absolutely no excuses this window. We need, as a bare minimum:
Left back Centre half Centre mid 2 x wingers
And we could do with Keeper Attacking mid
No excuses about last minute changes this time. These have to happen. And we should have players ready to go for Saints at the weekend.

Chalobah and Bacuna in the same midfield is not a good option... both lack the energy we need so both together is hard to accommodate. Chalobah has to be dropped when hogg is fit.

We are not a play off or mid table team , today was the manager and players fault you don't play to 2 CDM in the midfield , happens everytime, need o'brien and bacuna in there but we really need a playmaker , send that pile of shite back down to London , get wingers in, drop grant he has done fuck all in the last 4 game, shocking football, no passion nowt

Hopefully everyone can see that this is the consequence of what happened 2 years ago with poor recruitment and an indecisiveness on the dof position. Fortunately town have slashed the wage bill and have lots of youngsters in the team. The problem with that is Gabara makes a gobber and players like brown and even stankovic make game changing errors against much better professionals from stoke. Loads of individual errors in this game of course as well as not being match fit at this crucial point in the season. The only reason town are 4 points in front of stoke is down to the management and coaching staff. O'Neill doing a similar job for them. Hard work, whod have thought it eh? Yet one of our hardest workers gets dogs abuse. Funny how few 2nd balls we picked up today, and how exposed down our flanks we were, without him playing. I presume you are talking about kachunga. How anyone can criticize the guy who was our top scorer when we got promoted to the pl is beyond me. Even if he was totally useless now, which he isnt, I'd still let him off. He was part if the team that out the club on the map for the first time in a generation. Bizarre weak thinking to me.

Odd game, our tactics seemed to be to boot it long at every opportunity and try and win the second balls high up the pitch but we failed to win any all afternoon. We were second best all over the park, ref gave us nothing, I was surprised we finished the game with 11 players on the pitch. Looked like Prem v 1st division. Hopefully a blip, but Cowley needs to work out what the hell happened today, abysmal performance.

1 we really missed kachunga, shows how Much we miss him. 2 Grabara absolutely shocking today, need new keeper. 3 They have quality players al over the park but we dont do, that has been coming Nick thinks. 4 A very embarassment home defeat to let 5 goals in.
We are in a relegation battle and it was a big six pointer.

Ok the midfield was disjointed and woeful, in particular Hogg and Chalobah. The Cowleys got that completely wrong though. Trying to play constant long ball against Stoke, bypassing our midfield. Just invited the ball straight back at us.

I actually dont know what the fuck I have just spent 2 hours watching. That first half is up there with anything we produced at the bottom of league 1 or in league 2. We should have been 2 or 3 down minimum at half time.
Lets start with the selection, absolutely baffling. We are playing 2 central midfielders (our 2 most creative midfielders) on the wing, and especially Bacuna looked clueless as to how to play there. Why dont we play 4-3-3 and play Campbell, Grant and Mounie up top rather than playing people out of position. OB and Bacuna are NOT wingers and its so blatently obvious both going forward and defending. I also dont know what the manager says to the players before each game, but apart from a couple of games this season, we dont start playing for at least 20 minutes normally. He is still setting us up like a mid-lower table League 1 side, to play for a 0-0 and if we smash and grab then great. We dont seem to go out to win a game of football. That was fine when we had 1 point on the board and no wins in months, and we had to fight for every point going, but isnt it time now we upped the standard and played like a team who was in the Prem last season rather than a side who has come up from League 1. Every game of late we set up to draw 0-0 it seems, and its absolute garbage that we dont get started until going 1-0 down.
Then the players themselves, so many errors, its alarming, the first goal was shambolic, Bacuna and Simpson both culprits for that. Chalobah and Grabara must be sent back in January. Why are we giving 2 players who simply arent good enough a platform to make errors, when we could be trying to bring through Schofield, who at least is our own player. Hogg is just so exposed when he doesnt have anyone playing alongside him with any quality or creativity, which is what Chalobah is lacking. With Hogg and Chalobah in midfield we have no-one who is going to create chances, or pick a great pass, make the correct decision more often that not. Thats what makes the team selection so baffling when you take your 2 midfielders with quality and put them on the wing where they dont know their role properly.
January transfer window is massive tbh, with teams at the bottom like Wigan, Barnsley and Stoke starting to come alive and pick up points, we have to get the players we need in. No excuses for not spending some of that 20 odd million from the summer outgoings which we were told we did NOT need to sell those players. We need to buy quality who will also give 100% to the cause, not someone who will seemingly come for the money. Premier league youth loans will not do. League 1 or league 2 players will not do. Phil needs to spend the money wisely on quality in areas we desperately need, because if he thinks a couple of loans will be good enough, he might as well not bother.
The only slight positive today was Mounie's threat from set pieces, its nice to see us looking dangerous from corners and set pieces.
The last word also must be reserved for the officials. Now I am not going to say we should have won today and we deserved to win today, because we did not, the 2 goals we scored flattered us if anything. But what is going on. Why are we getting nothing. I just cant see any reason that a second yellow yard was not given to their number 5. The ref indicates a coming together, but that doesnt matter, he got the wrong side of the Stoke man, and he was brought down while attacking. To rub salt into the wounds a similar incident not long after and he books one of our players. Its incredible. You have to wonder when our luck will change and we will get some decisions because the last two games have been appalling. The Blackburn game, the penalty that wasnt given was bad enough but today, wow. If the ref doesnt bottle it and gives the decision, its a completely different game at 1-1 against 10 men, because they then have to defend. Whether you deserve to win the game or not doesnt matter, giving the correct decision does, and then let the game pan out from there, rather than the bottle job he does.
