Pritchard comfortably possesses enough skill and quality to return and totally embarrass a number of posters on here and I would not be surprised to see this happen. But when will we see it? Passed fit a couple of weeks ago. The strongest he’s ever been apparently. But....Not even on the bench yet. I doubt anyone thinks he doesn’t have the ability. With all respect, that’s a pretty easy statement to make. Even in his brief stint in November he looked good and if we had a fit Pritchard this season we’d not be in this position. For me, Cowley’s statement was an open invitation back into the fold but with undertones of get a move on as this opportunity won’t be here forever. Maybe I read into it too much.

Quite possibly but yet another no-show from him today and games will start running out shortly. He can’t show any skill & quality from the stands. This is true but it would make things a lot clearer if we, the fans, could receive a proper update from the management as to why/when we might see an appearance from Pritchard. I do agree with this. Hearing what Phil said also about players mental states, the mystery of Pritchard does beg questions but that’s why again I think Cowley s statement made it clear we’re running out of patience and in the nicest way I’m making it easy for you to come into the team (e.g playing through the pain, hero status to rescue us from the threat of relegation.) But every week from now that you’re not in the side is likely to build further frustration with the fans. I doubt Cowley would have come out with this detail if this was in any way linked to Phil’s Q&A comments.

Fingers crossed he hasn't woke up with a blackhead on his nose, that'll be another two weeks out.

Fingers crossed he's nowhere near the side. Who exactly are we dropping to accommodate Pritchard? Smith Rowe has played 3 games for us and has already shown more in those games than Pritchard ever has at this club.

We have to get him out to play first!!

He won't be starting after being out for so long. Given how we played on Wednesday, very few could complain if he had come in to replace them, though. Also, this is the championship. Pritchard has barely played in it for us, and he was our best player 1st game of the season against Derby.

My bet is he'll come in for Pyke.
Chalobah covers numerous more defensive options from bench, for a start, whilst we already have four strikers (if inc Kach) in the match day squad.

FFS people. We are crying out for some attacking flair as was very obvious Wednesday night. Instead of the constant slagging off why not at least wait and see how he fits into the Cowleys setup and how he performs.

I know this is crazy, but hear me out. Maybe, just maybe, Pritchard genuinely has been struggling with injury after injury, and the Cowleys aren't willing to give up on him just yet, as given that they work/interact with him on a daily basis, have seen that he actually is capable of bringing a lot to the side?
Just a thought.

I think the fact DC came out a few weeks ago to let everyone know he is fit and we still haven’t seen him in the squad speaks volumes.

My patience wearing very thin but as I said earlier if he ends up playing and playing well I will happily apologise and eat that piece of humble pie .

Problem is - we're running out of matches/seasons for him to do anything. All about opinion, but for me one of the two most disappointing "big money" signings we've ever made - not just his transfer fee but also alleged weekly wage.

I just don’t believe DC would come out and tell everyone that he is fit if he wasn’t. Strikes me he is saying the right things in the media to seem a considerate manager but ultimately the message to the fans is that this guy is taking the P155

I have no time for the lad, done pretty much nothing since we paid a substantial fee for him, his performances never particularly impressed me, then when the going started to get tough, he became injured and it seems like a cyst on the knee has kept him out for goodness knows how many months. If Cowley says he is fit, then one of two things surely, he is either not good enough to get on the bench or he is choosing not the play? Or Cowley is talking rubbish.
Maybe its just me but if someone wanted to pay me thousands of pounds a week to do something I love doing, I would go out there with a broken leg and crutches if the manager wanted me to. With any luck no team will waste their money on him after looking at his injury record and making up their own mind on what is going on with him. I have my own opinion based on what Cowley has said, and to be quite honest, I will be happy to see the back of him anyway, put someone like Daly in the team instead.

Just a thought. There appears to be a problem with getting him in for games and I do wonder if, as the sheriff says, he is struggling to overcome his fear of the injury. The Cowleys always say good things, and they would obviously like to get him playing, but there is something stopping it happen. I am sure they will continue to work toward him playing again and hopefully when he does we will see why they rate him so highly.

I am no doctor, nor am I claiming to have much medical knowledge, but I would be amazed if any professional footballer has had a career ending cyst on the knee injury, and I would also love to hazard a bet that no footballer has ever been out injured for as long as Pritchard has with a cyst on the knee. Even his manager has said he is fit to play, and im sure he has based that on medical advice rather than just making it up.

From there it’s a ticking time bomb until Pritchard appears in the squad again

Before he got injured Pritchard looked our most likely player to both create and score a goal. People have short memories.
