If we are able to allow 7500 into the stadium during the current climate I think that will be great - I remember the days when we could only dream of having 7500 watching Town - I was at the games v Torquay with 1623 in attendance and against Bournemouth with 1638 hardy souls rattling around Leeds Road - happy days! Likewise but we could stand about in groups.. Get 50 lads/blokes shouting together or just The Mayor Of Coventry being held upright by a couple of others and you could have an atmosphere? Being spread out isnt footie for me.. Ha ha that made me smile - those were the days my friend we thought they'd never end - but even huddled together we were spread out because there were so few of us!

Season card paid for as usual & I've no desire to attend until the reasonable norm has resumed. I can just imagine the over reaction from the stewards if someone wants a piss. It'll be unbearable

I was going to go watch Liversedge tomorrow, but due to guidelines received this morning from the Heavy Woollen District FA it has been decided that matches are to take place without spectators with a other review in a couple of weeks.
If you can't go to watch Liversedge with 200 others, in not holding out much hope for 7k fans to be able to go watch Town anytime soon.

I’m coming up tomorrow for a few days with my mum for the first time since February, but I’ve already got a ticket for Carshalton v Whitstable in the FA Cup next Saturday. Advance purchases only, and limited to 500 in a ground with a decent terrace and a small stand. Carshalton had 250 at a PSF last weekend, ticket only, and everything ran like clockwork according to their website. Not surprised.

Emley have just announced that supporters aren't allowed tomorrow either. 150 folk sticking to guidelines on top of a bastard hill isn't allowed to happen. How the fuck will Town be allowed 7,000 folk? Kirklees couldn't run a fucking bath.

We’ve been standing safely at Town without intervention for years, standing to watch football matches is not a crime.

Carshalton isn’t in an area under measures different to the national guidelines. Whilst only a few parts of Kirklees remain under stricter measures, the reason no crowds are allowed at football is because of this borough wide dictated instruction that has been in place since July... kirkleestogether.co.uk/2020/07/29/were-urging-people-not-to-hold-events-that-attract-a-crowd-of-more-than-30/

So they set a deadline so everybody knew where they stood, as much as they could do, then they extend it? Online renewing over the last couple of days crashed and caused problems for many. Very sensible thing to do, now they hopefully have fixed it....

Golcar had a home game during the week where 150 attended and they're also at home on Saturday with spectators allowed in. Then they’re breaking the local guidlines? Good on them, it’s stupid and unjustifiable. I’m amazed there isn’t anti establishment rioting going on.

Think Colne Valley and Huddersfield had their lockdown rules relaxed before the Dewsbury area.

Yup the “rules” set by central government were relaxed but there are still council wide restrictions in place for events. It’s the three links here >> kirkleestogether.co.uk/2020/08/14/what-current-covid-19-restrictions-are-in-place-in-kirklees/1) the overarching current national restrictions 2) the restrictions set by central government that were Kirklees wide but got eased last Wednesday for most of us. 3) Further restrictions set by Kirklees council on hosting events Kirklees wide (whixh is expected to remain until Kirklees is dropped as an “area of concern”). #Casedemic 🤷♂️

Surprised Lord Driffield hasn’t started a thread about this but Liverpool has suspended season card sales. Hendo, Klopp, nothing like a European game under the lights at Anfield .... etc, etc, if anyone is missing it. What, no one? Anyway, they’re going for a match by match basis, probably because a much smaller part of their income. LordDriffield was banned a couple of weeks ago From the admin action thread "lorddriffield poster with a lifetime ban who has reappeared - banned again." So 2020 produces some good news after all. Does that mean it was Nick. Would make a LOT of sense if so.

It's going proper pear shaped again. I cannot see anybody watching another live match in 2020, sadly.
The clubs must be pulling their hair out after all the effort put in to at least try and move forward. Where is this going to end?

It wont end until they vaccinate a large percentage of people, or everyone finally says fuck it and they let it run its course. Both are quite some time away. The talk of thousands being allowed back in by October and ballots was always a bit of a silly thing to do, because it gets peoples hopes up. They surely cant justify even thinking about letting thousands of people, even socially distanced, back into a football ground when they have just restricted everyone to no more than 6 people outdoors. I genuinely cant see a few thousand being at a game until season 2021/2022.

It would appear the new restrictions mean that- " Plans to pilot larger audiences in stadiums, and to allow conferences to go ahead, from October will be put on hold. "

Is it a coincidence that these new guidelines have been brought in right before the season starts, after everyone’s already purchased their season tickets?

To be fair, I think most folk would have known hand on heart when buying a season ticket that it was unlikely that they would see a game this season, not just our fans but fans everywhere.

If it goes up and down for a few months there will be shitloads of 'reviews'.. Had 7 months of reviews haven't we. Your coat will be by the door same as usual if you get the call to go??? That's what it might come down to..how they work it differently from week to week I dont know???

To be fair, I think most folk would have known hand on heart when buying a season ticket that it was unlikely that they would see a game this season, not just our fans but fans everywhere. Surely the club now needs to consider an iFollow only season pass. It seems absolutely mental that if I lived abroad I could watch home and away league games for £140, but those of us in the UK are expected to pay nearly double that for just over half the games. Plenty of folk either won't be able to attend due to being vulnerable even if limited numbers do get allowed in, or won't feel comfortable going somewhere with a few thousand other people around. Yet the club expects them to pay nearly double what fans abroad can pay PLUS £10 for each weekend away game, or they don't pay at all but get punished with inevitable price rises over the next three years. There needs to be a middle ground and it baffles me that the club haven't offered one. All or nothing isn't the right approach when the club needs as much income as it can get.

What would you suggest? I’m sure they’d love to give season ticket holders the away games as well but it’s not their product to give away.

Can you imagine the impact on the 2021/22 season ticket sales for all clubs if we don’t get to see games live this season at all. We would be lucky to sell 1000 .
